In my years of using this mouse I have concluded that this mouse is INSANE! If you’re into heavier and slightly bulkier mice then this will be perfect for you. Something about when you click it’s buttons (main 2) it’s just so satisfying. 9/10 would recommend

How is the programming of buttons in iCue? Does the mapping store in a chip on mouse? Same with RGB; does it store settings on the mouse? so if I stop running iCue the settings remain? iCue is so buggy I'd have as little to do with it as possible. My RGBs reset to pure white in case when my machine wakes from sleep, or I start wallpaper engine. Haha

@@JamieR Yes, you can copy the iCUE profiles onboard. I agree that iCUE sucks dick and it’s annoying to use, especially when reprogramming keybinds for the mouse, otherwise this is a godtier MMO mouse with superb build quality.

I have been using my Corsair Scimitar RGB for several years now and everything have been working great until Corsair upgraded the iCUE from 3 to 4 and now it doesn't work anymore so I am need of this one. Edit: I do wishes that Corsair could make a wireless version of this mice.

I have this mouse and one thing I want to say is this: This mouse works just fine... but one thing I want everyone to know, is if you want durability , this is the mouse for you. I have dropped this mouse for sure over 200 times. I fall asleep at my desk and pull them off the desk and pow on the ground. over and over I have done this and the mouse works just fine. amazing.

Disclaimer: not a native English speaker here. Couldn't the sound be /ʃ/ instead of just /s/? We have words like "Fascinating", "Scissors" that make the /s/ sound, indeed, but we also have "Unconscious", that does not.

The main and perhaps the only major issue with this mouse, I hope it's fixed for the elite version as I didn't try out that one, is the internal design and materials used for the click buttons. The click buttons stop working as intended after some time, specially the middle mouse button and you have to press it so hard for it to track the key press. Other than that, I've had no major issues with it. There are still minor issues with it most people would agree with me such as the outer design of the finger grip areas is a bit bad in terms of how good it grips to your fingers - how much force you have to use through your fingers to be able to lift it up. This could be easily corrected by corsair making a new revision wher the mouse has the keypad tilted towards the opposite side instead, it should have more positive camber if you will, such as in race cars, and the right side of the mouse too should have positive camber where you keep your pinky finger and also the part where you "rest" your ring finger - this is because I, for example, lift the mouse with my thumb on the keypad, and both the pinky and ring fingers on the right side of the mouse. This is because of lack of positive camber, and maybe the weight is a bit of a contributor. With more simple mice such as steelseries rival 100 I lift that one with my thumb and ring finger only). Should be more like what the original 2011 Razer Naga had on the sides, even though that razer mouse weights less than the scimitar.

I always set Lift Height to low so the cursor doesn't move around when re-positioning the mouse in game, I think it's more accurate that way actually, since obviously if you lift your mouse off the table the cursor should stop.

I've had a lot of RGB Pro replacement mice because of the weakness in the mousewheel (it's attached to a super tiny plastic pin). It breaks over time if you use the mousewheel to scroll with, any idea if they sorted this in the elite version?

Most in depth review I've seen! I've hated how Naga started including scroll wheel tilt, I absolutely hate tilt! Can you change the button function of the 2 behind the wheel? I want to use them in game as hot keys without changing the dpi.

Careful, my Pro's scroll wheel broke after 23 months and upon googling it, it appears to be a widespread issue. Seeing if I can get it replaced, man, I miss my G5 from 2005, lasted all the way until 2012.

It was perfect for 2 years more or less. After that it started double clicking and right click wasn't working all the time. And wasn't just me unfortunately. Many ppl had this issue. Basically same issues as the razer mouses

Still don't understand why (this) corsair mouse wheel can not be tilted, so it would function as a button. The Logitech G600 has that option.

Mine is arriving today after my razer naga totally broke down. Some of the side buttons stopped working years ago, now the mouse wheel is all jumpy and sometimes tracking stops. Hopefully this Corsair lasts me longer

@@sunofsotep8265 You wouldn't believe it, but my Naga was deemed defective like 3 months ago and I got a full refund. Mouse wheel issues too. I went ahead and bought a wireless razer naga pro instead. So far so good

Would be nice for a couple extra buttons on the mouse wheel tilt right and left, I had high hopes and this would make me switch from Logitech to Corsair. Maybe the 4th iteration will prove to be a winner.

I have a question: I play world of warcraft, and i usually bind 1, 2, 3 and 4 on my keyboard, but isee the mouse has numeric buttons as well, are these binds shared? Like if i bind 1 on my mouse i would cast the same spell if i use 1 on my keyboard, or they are complete different binds?

I don't play WoW, but like any game with bindings and macros, go into the game, see if you can bind the spell/ability you want to the mouse button. If the game doesn't recognize the mouse macro pads, then you'll have to go into iCUE and remap the mouse buttons to the numbers on your keyboard. And that way 1 on mouse will be the same as 1 on your keyboard assuming thats what you would like to do

I read some time back that the side buttons needed to be pressed too deeply to register as presses. Naga side buttons are very clicky, and take very little to press.

I love this mouse but it’s a shame some of the buttons are too hard to reach. I can basically only use 7/10/11/12/9 and maybe 6... the middle 8 and 5 are basically impossible to use without hitting other buttons and the 123 are just not possible to reach no matter how you adjust the pad

I’ve been using my 2012 naga epic until now. Recently razer is a mess and getting a lot of problems with synapse and the mouse not working. They don’t make any new mice as good quality either, so I’ve been looking at these. I think it’s time to switch over

I always liked razer's design but their build quality has been crap for awhile. I have a razer naga hex v2 with 7 buttons on the side, and I love the design, but had one break, I also had the trininity and the left click double clicks, apparently, it's a common problem because a little piece of metal bends and hits the trigger easily. I may switch over as well, but I wanted to hold off until I could get a G604 like one, but the buttons on the side suck. Wanted a light speed wireless mouse, with solid buttons on the side, seem it doesn't exist yet.

@@Kiobao quick update. I ended up getting a corsair and it started double right clicking after 2 weeks. I bought a logitech g600 after that and it's awesome. Like i was turned off cause it was cheaper but after holding it in hand its actually much nicer than the naga or corsair. It's heavy and better suited to big hands.

@@Kiobao yea, brand new scimitar elite. I think cause the way the clickers sort of overhang, it makes the plastic prone to bending over time and registering double clicks. Also the corsair side buttons are pretty uncomfortable despite being able to adjust them. Your thumb will almost always rub the mouse pad when trying to use the bottom row. I think it all comes down to styling and looks, but at the end of the day logitech made the superior mouse.

You should turn off enhance pointer persicion because it messes with your accuracy, but when you turn it off you need to change your dpi since it will feel slower

Almost as much of a rip-off as Corsair's RBG headphone stand, utterly pointless iteration of the Scimitar. I've had the Pro since it came out and the mouse wheel has less side to side wiggle than the brand new Elite.

Actually it is a review. A review means that I can say anything I want about the product both good and bad, pros and cons. I'm also not sure what you believe "sponsored" actually means, but please do tell me if you can. Reason why I ask is because most people think "sponsored" means I was paid to do this video... not recommend this mouse, the pin between the wheel and the sensor always breaks unless you dont use the wheel button at all

also the left click is known to start double clicking after awhile. my first one lasted 3 years my second one started double clicking after 2 months

i don't recommend this mouse at all after a year of use the scroll wheel is totally busted, when i scroll up it goes down, when i scroll down it goes up, tried cleaning it like 5 times it helps a bit and then few hours later it's back to the old .. i hate Razer products but Naga's are way better option for a MMO mouse

The 'C' in scimitar is silent, so it's pronounced 'simitar'. A scimitar is a curved sword. Stay in school kids. Education is important if you don't want to look like a dummy!

Hahahaha yeah I knew how it was suppose to be pronounced just looking it up since it's not a word I often say or use. but I still continue saying it the incorrect way though out of habit and on purpose too because i like the way "shimitar" sounds 😆. But yes, "simitar" is the correct way for the record
