Condition Zero is actually where I learned to play Counter-Strike. For whatever reason, that's where me and my cousin played the game mostly, even though he was a hardcore CS1.6 person normally.

Counter Strike to me is something I can always come back too and have for almost 20 years now. It has such a high skill ceiling and I still play 1.6, CSS, GO whenever I want to get my CS fix. Ran servers for years in the early to mid 2000s and will always love those memories and custom maps. My girlfriend has already agreed to let me use our future kids for our own family PC gaming team that will feature Counter Strike and proper sim racing to prep in between karting hopefully. CS was also the first game I ever created a map for and it felt like magic. Sadly all my old 1.6 and CSS maps and a few quake 3 maps I made are all but lost to time thanks to me ditching my old Seagate for the amazing HITACHI DESKSTAR that was so fucking reliable I have literally thrown thousands of them out over the past decade of me working in I.T. Keep up the great work Drew, I have a Patreon account because of you!

Been playing CS from the days of 1.6. in 2000, I wish more videos would go into the nostalgia journey. It is somehow still a very over looked game. Even though it is still one of the most popular games in the world.

THE FEELS. I spent a good amount of time in Lan Houses when I was 13 or 14. PS: You forgot Condition Zero! It had a pretty mediocre Single Player Campaign .

It is weird to see someone explaining how CS works or plays. CS 1.6 is like second nature to brazillians. Even me, that doesn't like traditional FPSs, have played at least 1k hours of this.

I really enjoyed the laid back commentary. You reminded me of the olden days of let's plays when people talked like normal people. It's unfortunate everyone has to force some sort of zany hyperactive persona for let's plays to attract/maintain large audiences. That's the reason I stopped watching them for the most part
