I've been making lovey eyes at country lolita since at least 2009 😅 I never really liked "sweet" lolita but classic felt too stiff and felt like country was the perfect relaxed mix of the 2 haha when I saw "cottage core" style becoming popular I instantly thought about country lolita! Personally I categorize country as more of a theme than a substyle of its own, my classic summer wardrobe tends towards Victorian picnic and it's fun spotting same pieces I have on your collection 😁

This was the first of your videos I saw in my search for new Lolita vids and immediately I was thinking "oh, Country Lolita... I wonder if that's like 'Outdoors Classic'?", wanted to watch your whole series chronologically though and have been waiting to get back to this one. Very interesting sub-genre, if the blouse/dress you had on is typical of it I really like it, the construction and detailing was so nice. :)

Aaah very nice content :D As a fellow person who wears country lolita the most compared to other substyles, I love this! And what a great find that other non-lolita but totally-lolita dress!!! 5:16 I feel like country lolita can feature any color as long as the main elements of country lolita are in! (boater hat/bonnet/flowers, gingham/fruit/floral motifs, etc.) In fact, I personally wear lots of very bright colors like red, wine, navy, yellow, sax, mint etc.! Weird theory: I'm actually beginning to think almost any dress can be turned country with the right country lolita accessories. Somehow most of mine do end up that way, at least XD but if we compare these colors to say, the colors usually featured in sweet or gothic, then I definitely agree that they are indeed very muted, and definitely a tad closer to classic! Well this was certainly interesting to think about, I actually think you may be right after all XD but I didn't really consider red to be muted. It would be lovely to see some country lolita look book/outfit examples in a next video. I'm always looking for inspo :D Thank you for making this video!!
