It is extremely hard for anyone to resist the temptation, to inflate the value of their happiness for their own gain. It is a certain recipe for disaster. The happy spouse, happy house is far better, because if you both focus on prioritizing the happiness of the other, and resisting the temptation to be the greediest in the relationship, that is an easy route to certain success.

Chopperman - There's no sexism towards men. That's not accurate and the advice they gave to the younger couples actually reinforces sexist stereotypes about women. The stuff about how they should always agree with the wife and not make her unhappy is patronizing to the wife, and says that they should treat her like a stereotype and never actually respectfully engage with what she thinks. People, especially men, often say "always listen to her" or "she's always right" because of sexist stereotypes that women nag and have nothing valuable to say. That's not good. :-/
