I love how witch huts are F Tier for speedrunning, while for technical playing they're one of the best structures. Minecraft is just so vastly and I love it

In my speedrun one time I found a ruined portal but I didnt have a bucket to complete it so I dug down to look for iron but found a dungeon right below the portal and in the chest there was a bucket unluckily the nether spawn was horrible

we can use this list to create a perfect speedrun: spruce village on an island, with a shipwreck and buried treasure nearby, crafting for full iron tools and a gold pick and finding a completable ruined portal that needs two obsidian nearby with a fire charge and soul speed gold boots in it. when you enter the nether you have a fossil in 0,0 chunk allowing you to figure out your blind, you get a housing bastion right next to you and you have enough obsidian from the village that you don't need any obsidian, and you get all your pearl trades really fast. then you go to the the fortress, which ends up being right next to the stronghold blind. you go 6 for 8 on blazes and leave the nether in the portal room. you enter and get an insane perch, and 4 bed with the village beds. i know that takes insane rng, but with how world record are being pushed right now it will happen eventually.

as soon as i saw the mansion on the list, i hoped you'd mention that run k4 had. very glad that it made it in at the end of the list, that was such a cool run lol

In my opinion treasure bastions are the BEST bastion for just playing normal Minecraft, not speed running it, because it has INSANE loot, but you need decent stuff to loot it.

Did you know that you can get a trapped golem in a pilliger outpost which when you free it it will go after the pilligers, killing and distracting them, letting you take less damage and getting more free iron

Today for the first time in my speed run attempts i made it to the end, an enderman came after me and i cracked under pressure and blew myself up with a bed. BUT I MADE IT TO THE END! (16th attempt btw)

A bit too long and you'll get bored in the middle. Maybe try to reduce the duration a bit and maybe giving some looks at how those structures look in the game itself. It will be useful for those people who don't know what those structures are.

When the wr is so good that he starts running out of video ideas

I really disagree with the bastion placements. Housing is really really inconsistent if you’re using the manhunt strat, since if there is a hoglin, zombie piglin, chunk of glowstone in the chest room, or if it’s a lava housing, all of those are run killers. It’s also really easy to low roll on, since there aren’t too many gold blocks, and sometimes you don’t get all of the piglins. also, the chests are all the way at the top of the bastion, but you do the trading at the bottom of it, so it usually takes at least ten seconds to get to the top, which is precious time that could be saved. There are the two chests that you pick up along the way, but it’s still really easy to low roll on obby. With treasure, it may be slow sometimes, but it’s also very consistent. Of the past seven world records, one has been bridge, two have been housing, and *four* have been treasure. I feel like that’s saying something. Also, notice how none have been stables. Stables is slow, and really inconsistent, not only because of the low amount of gold, but also the fact that you have to hope at least one of the sides have a good gap, which sometimes you can’t even tell. It takes like at least 20 seconds to get to the position where you can start trading after entering the bastion, which is more precious time waste, and it takes quite a while to go from the trading room to the top chests, which is more time waste. In couri’s nether routing video, he said it is by far the worst bastion, so what has changed since then? Isn’t the same route used? None of the recent world records have been stables presumably for a reason, so I don’t understand why it’s in second place lol. Bridge, I kind of understand, since it is on average quite a bit slower then treasure or housing. But, because of the TONS of gold blocks, and really good amount of piglins, it’s extremely consistent. I haven’t done a whole lot of runs, but I’ve never low rolled on a bridge. The gold is always enough. Plus, the chests take very little time to get to. Treasure, meanwhile, is probably my favorite. It’s not as consistent as bridge, but it’s quite a bit faster. The chests are right next to where you trade, there are a lot of gold blocks, and a lot of piglins. More than half of the recent world records have been treasure, probably because it’s fast and consistent, so I really don’t understand why it’s third and especially why stables goes over it lol. Great video though, love all of the content.

18:07 One time, I got a seed with 2 ocean monuments right next to each other, but I had to reset because I was in the middle of the ocean with no land and there was no shipwrecks to get the iron that I need.
