This was set up that way to make Courtney look like the victim for her next big “superstar” role. I don’t know how you don’t see she’s acting. What kind of widow tells the world her now dead husband dropped their baby on her head when he was alive? Who does that? “It’s my fault for calling for an intervention” bs, it’s her fault cuz he was about to leave her so she had him killed. “My goodness, Barbara I’ve never touched heroin in my life, Kurt was the messy junkie”-that’s what CL and BW are trying to convey which is sick, but convincing and sadly many believed this. She did this interview, she knew she’d be asked those questions and she wanted to fool the world. Look at that shit eating, duper’s delight grin at the end.

Have you heard the deliberately leaked audio tape ripped straight off the mixing desk of her guitar isolated from the other instruments? She can't play and never could. She looked so cool with it on stage but the rest of the band and session musos carried all those songs. she just used her guitar like the ultimate prop. If you pay very close attention to old live footage, she's all over the place and never playing a song properly all the way through-- yet magically the song sounds great and similar to on the record. They're all playing their hearts out live, except her. To expose this and call it out is always smeared by silly marshmallow-headed loyal fans as being 'misogynist'. Give me a break.

Instead of rocking the grunge look she was nicely dressed sipping tea from a little teaset and was very well spoken. She's been hard on Life and Life has been hard on her. Do they cancel each other out? It is well known that Courtney has been aggressively doing mean things since she was a toddler. At a very young age, she is reported to have punched out other girls for no reason. Both of her parents attest to that. She admits it too. In her older years, she has been involved in over 50 assaults. She forges documents, falsifies Police Reports, slashes tires, fakes overdoses, delivers drugs, and fights with every woman she comes across. I am sympathetic to Courtney's condition but when it comes to the counting of good deeds versus bad deeds, she doesn't look so good. Gotta love her voice though. @@fakelaw8123 apparently it is that black and white by the statement you made "some people do choose to become addicted by their own free will." So that means someone woke up one day and said, today is the day I want to become addicted to whatever substance, I'm sure no one who does it intend for it to go that far, I agree the choice was made to try it, but become addicted by own free will, no. And the response "ok cool but" definitely screams credibility.

This is a pretty fascinating juxtaposition of personalities... On one hand Love: chaotic, unreliable, sullied and damaged... Next to her Walters: composed, mannered, clean and well behaved... Yet, contrasted against her polar opposite, Barbara Walters just reeks of vitriol and unpleasantness. *She* is the scandalous, unclean one out of the two, asking insensitive questions and feasting on her vulnerability like a sociopath. Between the two, I'd like Courtney better as a friend, wife, sister, mother or daughter, because she's the human one - and Walters couldn't invent that for herself even if she tried.

Um... she IS a junkie. Sorry, but i'm a little older than Courtney, and our generation never had a problem calling a heroin user a junkie. Why WOULD you? Would it be out of line for Barbara to call her an alcoholic if alcohol was her addictive substance? The point is, that Barbara was speaking to Courtney FROM the perspectives of the public who was tuning in just to judge her or to hear a confession. She was laying it all out on the table without being sweet, because this is not a sweet story, and that's how you talk to someone in crisis if they are ever going to come clean, which both Barbara and Courtney were there for. If she hadn't called her out, Courtney would have spent the whole time acting sterile, and everyone would see she was hiding something. The last thing Courtney needed was to be drawing more suspicion to herself than was already there, stronger every day. Btw, i am part of the old school punk community that Courtney and Kurt spent time around, and the majority of the hundreds of friends and acquaintances i have in this community are addicts. They are almost all in recovery, and the first thing they learn is to not pussyfoot around words like "junkie", or "tweeker". If you kiss the disease's ass and speak politely of it, it will just swallow you back up.

It’s easy to say “of course, she a good actress”, but there is something so true when she chastised herself for telling Kurt he dropped Frances. It wasn’t the inciting incident to his suicide, but you can’t help feeling that you had said one thing that made his pain worse that he ended his own life. I had a cousin who died of suicide, and I still think I could have treated him better in life. Also, Barbara Wawa comes off poorly as an interviewer, like she wants to hit the interviewee’s pain points to score Nielsen points.

understand that she had no choice but to raise her child alone, that doesnt' make her strong - and you don't know how much time she actually spent with Frances, versus nannies. Fighting addiction is something she AND Kurt did. He was under a GREAT deal more pressure than she was, because he didn't want or relate to fame, he was in a difficult marriage, and his every move was under a microscope. This is the kind of thing that makes fighting an addiction a LOT harder. It was a little easier for Courtney to adjust her focus from the drugs to her daughter, by virtue of her being a woman. Woman are just better wired for switching gears, and for taking on the role of nurturer in a relationship. Being the leader of a rock band isn't about being strong. Kurt was one too. I have dozens and dozens of friends who lead rock bands, a few of them famous. They AND their band members all have strong personalities, which is what gets them out there doing their music. But Kurt and Courtney both had managers for their bands, leaving them to be free to do their creative thing. She was also in a band that she didn't rely on to pay the bills, and if Hole failed, the impact would be miniscule, compared to how many jobs would be lost and fans would be crushed if Nirvana collapsed. Kurt was under WAY more pressure, and his dope was his friend and his enemy, so it was gonna be a big part of his way out. If he did kill himself, (which is technically impossible, thus the murder theory), he was only able to do by getting high first. Dope was the only place he felt safe - an opinion i got from speaking to many friends who are recovering junkies. When someone is SO DISTRAUGHT that they can't deal with living anymore, those who still live prove by still being alive, that they've never felt that kind of horrible pain. So don't even go there with the "easy way". He saw NO OTHER way, or he'd have gone another way. Believe that. Just ask actual humans who have managed to try and fail suicide. She's no stronger than Kurt. She just didn't have the same weight on her. She has more tools than he did to survive, because she wasn't shy, and she is a woman

She was putting out in the air that he was suicidal he never said that, he had so much respect for women that he wouldn’t kill himself he loved his daughter too much he wanted to get away from her three weeks later she ends up back with the smashing pumpkins guy Billy she is a sociopath and a suSuccubus Billy wrote her whole album basically

It's crazy what she had to deal with. She's obviously sober and straight here and has been for a while.... If I would have been asked are you onto something....I would have lost contenance... she didn't. She's one of the greatest Rock n Roll singers ever... and she managed to raise a daughter and get out of the 90s clean (and save some people on the way, like Lanegan).... A man who would have manged that would have been treated with the greatest respect. She had to take so much shit. It's crazy. I can't imagine how she managed to withstand stand. I very much understand why Kurt was so in love with her. What a woman. Her female force was just too much for most people. I'm happy for Kurt that I found her.
