Kurt once said ''If you hurt my wife, i'll hurt you''. Hating on Courtney won't give Kurt any justice, he loved her. To understand Kurt you should accept his wife as well. Sure, sometimes Courtney isn't in the right frame of mind but nobody's perfect. Kurt wasn't perfect. I love Courtney as much as I love Kurt because I respect the fact that they loved eachother. This guy just irritates me. He interviewed her w/ a motive to mock her, and to present himself as some intellectual elite. What a joke! She was simply being pleasant and playful to get over being nervous. The audience was just a bunch of stoic stiffs who wouldn't recognize a good time if it kicked them in the head. She was trying to get comfortable and then tried to have a pleasant time. Why try to make yourself seem better than, and then mock your guest. He then RUDELY asks her if she's on medications?! He was lucky to have there! I would have fallen asleep if I was a member of the audience. Courtney was the only thing that lit that place up! Wow....smh..

And when he asked her if she was on drugs, her body language says she was hiding something (when she covered her mouth her body wants her to hold something back). Can't believe she lived in Drogheda and went to Trinity! I read in an interview she did with the Irish times she used to squat in St Stephens Green and worked at Windmill Lane where U2 recorded their albums. Courtney really must have loved Ireland :)

She looks great all things considered (or even not all things considered - ask almost any 50 year old woman if she'd want to look like that and the answer would be a resounding YES). But the interviewer is horrendous, and when it descends into Kurt's death territory, and they show the picture, ugh. It's so badly prepared.

Kurt truly loved her from his interviews and what he had personally written in his writings. Kurt had such a low self asteem though. He thought he was ugly, and could have done so much better. He could have married Cameron Diaz (this was when she hot when the Mask came out). He had no idea how beautiful he was...this coming from a straight male. You know how people on Facebook take self photos from so many angles trying to get one that makes them look attractive. Kurt does not have one bad photo

My favorite part is when he asks if she is the main beneficiary and she is all "yes, but I don't have my debit card!" XD

No compliments at the end there I notice, "yeah it was er fabulous to have you as a guest and er you're more than just a dead guys widow". I Don't think the fact she wasn't entirely in the land of the living when doing this went down to well with her credibility ratings in the audience (judging by their facial expressions, quickly caught and zoomed by the camera man). what did they expect? to see an alcoholic drunk or a drug addict high? yes, they did and sold ring side seats for it too. They all rolled up to watch the fool think herself clever for trying to out sly a fox, what a spectacle to see her caught in her own traps by this man and his audience.. Caught with her hands in the cookie jar and a thousand eyes saw right through all the coyness and fakery to the point of discomfort to even watch. No sympathy in this crowd, their faces say it all. If she wasn't so deluded,celebrity worshipping and boasting i would feel sorry for her.

@JonathanNevin Everett True interviewed Rosemary for his recent "Nirvana" bio, and she told Everett that Kurt talked to her about divorce, but that she really isn't/wasn't sure how serious he was about it. If Kurt were so adamant about divorcing Courtney, he had ample opportunity to file for it right then and there. He didn't. Possibly, Kurt was going through a tough time (both personally and professionally) and was really conflicted over what path to choose.

True dat, Kurt wasn't the tallest of people either so he would have really struggled to even hold a shotgun in his mouth, let alone pull the trigger even without three times the lethal dose of heroin in his system. Plus his "Suicide Note" doesn't talk about suicide at all, except for the last three lines... which are coincidently in completely different handwriting :/

@piemakesmelol I agree, the lyrics *could*, at least in part, be referencing his problematic relationship w/ Courtney. It would make sense - she was his wife, and I'm sure their relationship inspired a lot more Nirvana lyrics than Cobain was ever willing to admit. But my point is that only Kurt would know where his head was at when he recorded the song, and we also know he was having a lot of other problems when it was recorded (drugs, breaking Nirvana up, etc). We're all guessing

Rohypnol was NOT found in Cobain's system at his autopsy. 1.52mg/L of heroin, and an unknown amount of diazepam (Valium) were noted in Cobain's toxicology report. Diazepam is often given to patients while in rehab, to aid in relaxing and calming addicts while going through detox. Kurt was in rehab 2-3 days before he is estimated to have died. Given that diazepam has a half life of 1-3 days, it is at least *possible* that the diazepam found during autopsy was given to him while in rehab.

Kurt himself said he'd often change topics from line to line in his songs, and compiled lyrics from different poems he wrote in his notebooks. Kurt never offered his personal thoughts on that song, so why do people think they can interpret his thoughts and emotions for him?? It's stupid to think you know for sure.

It's interesting how pissed is everytime Kurt is broght to topic. She thought Kurt's suicide (or murder) will only boost her career and then fade into the oblivion. She didn't realize, even to this day, how important was Kurt's contribution to music history.

@Sukkiyakki If he was afraid of her, then why did he go back to their Seattle home after he fled rehab, when he could have purchased a ticket to anywhere? You'd also think he might have mentioned to someone that he thought his wife tried to kill him, or something to that effect, instead of taking responsibility for the incident and covering the whole thing as an "accident". Even if it was from a documentary or a site or whatever, it's still better than the millions who jump on the bandwagon saying that, "he killed himself," without looking at the case first. Kurt wasn't stupid. Without going into detail about the case, I can say that he had huge opportunity to make whatever he wanted musically, his band was huge, respecting fans, very wealthy, and many friends. He knew he had a good life, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't just toss it all away for no apparent reason.

People often assumed it was about the media's treatment of him, but the song was being performed with the lyrics "rape me, my friend", and "I'm not the only one" as early as fall of 1991, just as the band was becoming popular, and before the glare of the media attention had embittered him. I remember watching that mtv awards footage live of her and kurt that they show the picture of. doesn't seem like that long ago! and i'm 29. so ugly and horrible the things that people say about her regarding kurt. i've heard her say it really really hurts and upsets her - she just doesn't show it often. whoever believes that trash they hear is really deluded. i wish people would wake up. for all she has had to deal with, kurt leaving them his money is the least he could do.

Dying an icon only helped, but layne staley, jimi hendrix and others also died an icon. You forget the complete difference and impact kurt had, just as jimi had on guitarists.
