The cowbell and Charlie's drum riff probably the best and most widely known intro in rock

Yeah their best stuff for me is in this period too. Though their best stuff in this period for me is all the non singles from 68-81 with those 8 albums in it. And of course the singles too during that time. But it's like they were 2 different bands. The geat singles band during it and then you got an almost country sounding band with beautiful guitar sounds, especially between 68-74 (and the many different musical influenes detours in the 76-81 period too) .

The cow bell was played by Jimmy Miller, the Stones' producer. There is a country version of this song called "Country Honk". This was released the day after Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones' death from drowning.

That was all a strange time. I agree he drowned in a pool but believe the autopsy said (and if this isn;t a British sounding term): Death By Misadventure.

In 1976 something happened that changed the world of Live Music forever. a rather small guy with long curly blonde hair playing a custom Black Gibson Les Paul Guitar released the best selling live album in history.... "Frampton Comes Alive"... This song is the reason why that happened, you really, really want to hear the album version of this....Do You Feel Like We Do (Live In The United States/1976)

I may be wrong but I think Mick Taylor is one of the guitar players on this great track!!

Mick came in after the basic track was recorded and over-dubbed the iconic riff that takes this song from Richards' original conception of a Hank Williams country/blues to a strutting rock groove.

You're not wrong. It was close to the first thing that he did with the Stones. Taylor's guitar is the one in the left speaker.

That song is sex, drugs, and rock and roll. One of my top 5 favorite songs. The bit where he sings "she blew my nose and then she blew my mind" is about sex when high on cocaine.
