This video is me mowing in real time is not for short attention spans. I get requests to show some of these jobs in real time with real sound, so, here's one. I record everything in real time anyway and do the time-lapse in the editor. So something like this video is no problem. Let me know if you like this sort of thing.

Well another good vid to add into my "Lawn Care" playlist. I love the real time mowing vids like these... especially during the wintertime.

I don't know why but hearing a mower running and smell the cut grass relaxes me. And I'm not even a golfer.

Me too, but I try to be a golfer...not always successful, but I do try. I love the smell of just cut grass. Your so right, it is very calming.

I like the way that when the growth is overwhelming the mower that you just take a "half of a bite" to reduce the load on the self-propelled mower. That is something that I taught a neighbor's "kid" when he was mowing about 8 or 10 inches of lawn. .. The steady sound of the mower and the ability to watch the progress of mowing the overgrowth is what I enjoy as well as the quick mowing. .. You and the others that post the mowing videos, give me a taste of the therapy that I discovered and enjoyed in mowing my lawn. When I got to the point that I couldn't walk behind a mower, I got a lawn tractor. Now, agent orange has taken away my ability to walk without help and I can't even use the lawn tractor. These videos are more than entertaining and instructive. They are therapeutic. Thank You

That was Awesome Video Mike, to see the Whole thing in Real Time and be able to see the Craftsman working like a Champ was very Cool..... It Really mows good even when you put it into reverse it does a great job. I never really thought of these type of Mowers to be able to Bush hog but if it has the Power, which it Definitely has.... it would be able to do it and take on jobs like these. I Enjoyed That and it will be in my Favorites.... Thumbs Up !!!! :)

+Cool58F250 You know, I'm really surprised at how many people are watching this. I'm happy to post real time videos, but I assumed most of the world would get bored of such a thing. I'll have to look back in my source material to see what I still have. Thanks for the comment!

Maybe, if Sears would have had videos like this, their mowers might have sold more. I have always liked & bought the Craftsman brand. I don’t remember ever seeing this model. The two of you are very impressive!

I had to order this mower from their website. I now have the Cub Cadet equivalent, which I also ordered off a website. I don't know why they never stock these in stores.

Love the videos. I like them both but if I had to choose I'd pick the ones that are sped up. My favorite was posted quite some time ago that is 5x speed, overgrown and the backyard. It's relaxing to watch.

Don't people in Jacksonville have lawnmowers? They did when I lived there 60 years ago. I wore out my first lawnmower, a Toro 5 hp reel type, mowing our St. Augustine blue. What a piece of crap. Wouldn't cut crap and weighed a ton and wet grass would eat it alive and you know how much it rains in Jacksonville.

Your videos are always fun because they show you mowing, or whatever. You also show some very difficult situations instead of the mundane "regular" jobs.(some of that would be ok too). I guess you didn't squeeze that Scag in there so the video wouldn't be too short.
@Something2LookAt
@Something2LookAt 7 жыл бұрын
lol, I couldn't get the Scag in there. But it certainly would have made a great video. I agree, I don't enjoy filming the regular height jobs as much.

Hey if you wanted you could put an extension on that to bring it between that plate and the bar below it that way you can change into what you need just by reaching forward instead of having to bend down all the time to change it but its just a thought

Wouldn't that job have been easier using a compact tractor and rotary mower on that thick brush and tall grass? And less torture on your Craftsman mower? Is a compact tractor a plan for the future?

When cutting brush there are three thing you always take with you - a chainsaw, a pruning saw and a pair of poppers. You use one of the three to cut trees and not your lawnmower. I am surprised that Craftsman walk behind lasted the whole day with the abuse you gave it.

my apologies, I know you work your rear off in these videos , its obvious......however I must indicate to you ........a lawn mower is not the right machine for cutting down extreme weeds and growth such as what you had to go thru in this video.....there are heavier machines that can go thru this stuff like a knife goes thru butter.....It just seems like you were doing a Yomans job with quite simply the wrong machine..............
@Something2LookAt
