As a Madrid fan, I had some problems with him not showing up to La Liga celebrations but you know what? He was ready to help us in the final, made sure he was fit and although he did not play, we won the UCL. Bale, thank you for your service at Madrid, you're a legend. Bale was fantastic, but only for a relative short period. I loved him when he was in form. Amazing to watch the speed power he had. But I also remember the time he came back for a long injury and got injured again instantly. That really hurt. We needed him, badly. I know it's not his fault, but a team like Madrid needs it's stars, obviously. If it wasn't for the injuries, Bale would have had a fantastic RM career. (More fantastic than he has had)

9 yrs ago looking back from the Summer of 2013, all things considered, Bale has been so much more successful and impactful than Neymar when he actually played. Yet, he never got enough credit when he had his day in part due to all of the hype media created around the other guy in Paris. He was the integral part of the core success of Real Madrid since 2013. Imagine that bbc front 3 from 2014 and 2016, absolutely the best. I miss him and I wish him well
