I bought an SX62 8 years ago and it still starts and runs fine . I was so impressed I bought another two 7 and 6 years ago . All 3 are still going fine . All 3 run a 20 inch bar and I cut around 40 tons of firewood a year including iron bark , red gum , stringy bark etc.. The reason I use 3 is if one goes blunt I just change saws . The only problem I have is they are impossible to start when hot after refueling and need to sit 1/2 hour to cool down .

Yeah, my sx62 is about the same age, bought it in 2015. Still runs great. Even bought a 24" bar for it. Pretty happy with it. Not as much use as yours by the sound of it but a fair bit. I had the same problem as you in the beginning with not starting when hot. I was using recommend 91 octane fuel. Started using 98 octane fuel, starts first pull every time when hot. Haven't tried 95 or anything else. Cheers.

I've got one...three years now...every winter I spend a a few weeks cutting the second hardest wood in the world...Gidgee wood...put a good bar on it, a full chisel chain, put a rubber washer around the air intake as usually the air filters do not seal correctly and use Putoline TT Trial Pro two stroke oil and mix at 40-1...I mix 1 litre a time and use a 20ml syringe to ensure I get exactly 25ml of oil per litre...So I have probably used mine for over 100 hours cutting the second hardest wood in the world and three years later...no problems....they're good money....a good tool.

Gidgee or Acacia cambagei is a member of the Acacia family and is identified by its distinct, dark brown hardwood with narrow band of yellow sapwood. Being a heavy timber, and classified as the 3rd hardest wood in the world according to The Wood Data Base, gidgee blunts tools with ease!

Yeah, sad to say but I would have to agree with you, so long as you keep up the maintenance. I purchased mine in 2015, can't say how many hours are on it, quite a few but certainly not pro usage. I thought it would be dead by now. When I had cylinder off, obvious sines of dust damage. That'll be fine.👍

I've got one and it cuts like the chain is blunt. Terrible. I'm wondering if the bar oiler is faulty. It's not really even worth the low price.

Maybe the chain is blunt, don't know if yours is new ir not, but i have found that most cheep chinese chains need sharpening from new

@@anthonysgarage5283I've sharpened it and it cuts ok for about 30 seconds then it's basically like the chain is on backwards. I'll have a look at the oiler as it might not be working. It uses oil but it leaks like a sieve so that might be where it's going.

That dual muffler has spark arrestor inside??
@anthonysgarage5283
@anthonysgarage5283 2 жыл бұрын
No spark arrestor, this is standard for Chinese saws. Did have exhaust leak during this video, but ran pretty good imo.

@@anthonysgarage5283 I don't know did I named it right, but inside there is some cover with small holes on cylinder side? My Chinese has one and other also.

@@11T872 yes this has plate with small holes , I'm not sure, but don't think this is spark arrestor, just a baffle.I think a spark arrestor is a peice of mesh.
