As a Swede watching this I can also add to the information that the name of the original sound file "2Taktare" can be translated into "2Stroke", as (obviously) in a two stroke engine. Also a fun fact about Daniel Malmedahl who created this now legendary sound clip. He did also create a song called "Bamsesagan" (Bamse's tale) A comical, parody kind of song based on one of Sweden most famous cartoon/comic book characters "Bamse" (the world's strongest bear) Which became sort of a online phenomenon as well, that circulated heavily here in Sweden around the same time. I even remember there was at least one or two popular fan animations based on this.

when I was a kid, I accidentally downloaded the crazy frog version of the song “popcorn” instead of the original off limewire or something. Absolutely traumatized me because in the middle of the song, you could hear some dude shooting and killing crazy frog and he keeps making noises as he’s dying. Weird stuff. Edit 12/21: I managed to find a video that includes the previously mentioned audio of crazy frog being shot to death. There’s a video titled “Weird Bootleg Crazy Frog Song” with like 500 views and around the 4 minute mark is exactly what I’m talking about. Can’t believe I managed to find it lol

If its the green CD, its nothing but TRIPE. The orange one has axel f, and maybe a few other somewhat nostalgic tunes, remixed poorly. Consume at your own risk Was given the green one for a birthday one year…. I knew it was lame at the time, but i cringe thinking about it now. Like how dare they give that to me on my birthday….

I worked at Verisign in the late 2000s and they acquired Jamba/Jamster at the time. Crazy Frog became a mascot of sorts for the company and there was a full size Crazy Frog mascot suit they'd bring out for events. It was weird af.

Canadian here! I had the awful realization a few months back that Crazy Frog did indeed have his whole micropenis out. I have so many fond childhood memories about watching the funny music videos with my friends and at school even. He was entirely advertised as a children's character along side The Gummy Bear. I was absolutely rocked to my core by the knowledge while all of my european friends laughed and taunted me with even worse cursed knowledge like how he was also a scandanavian rave mascot

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with this thing. Specifically the song. I once downloaded seven versions of it on our iTunes to my parent’s dismay. People associated me with the character and all my cousins looked straight at me when the DX7 scene in Monsters vrs Aliens came on. I now own a 12” single of Axel F I found at a record store.

I had the first CD and at the time, the player I had wasn't able to show the track number. So I thought multiple tracks with the same tempo played one-after-another were all one track, and I was confused as to why there were less tracks playing than I could count on the back cover. Then we got a player that showed the track number, and I noticed it count up at an unexpected time. Then I looked at the cover and I was like "oh, that must be this one". The weirdest part was the last track or two which was just a voice reel. All the effects placed on the voice clips remained intact, but without music. The reverb that persisted through so much of the reel creeped me out.

I had my very first job back in the Jamster days (yeah I'm old) and it was working in the customer service department for a phone company. The number of billing nightmares caused by those damn ringtone scams was insane. Stupid kids would somehow rack up bills in the thousands on a regular basis. Needless to say my hatred for the crazy frog was intense.

As a young boy, i was one of those people who subbed to the ringtone services; not for my phone, but for my uncle, and he can't unsubbed that nasty tones for a whole month. It was funny AF, as nobody would put that ringtone on your own phone anyway.

I seem to recall that Nickelodeon would actually air Crazy Frog music videos around I wanna say sometime around 2010? That date may be a bit off, but I'm pretty sure they would air it to serve as a buffer between programs to get them back on schedule.

I had a Crazy Frog plush when I was a kid, and I was fucking terrified of it. When you pressed a little button on his hand, he would sing one of his songs. Crazy Frog is still nightmare fuel for me, and I have no idea why 😭
