So true, unless you have trash pickups who actually go through the stuff before it makes the landfill then half the stuff don’t go. My brother works for a trash company and he sometimes takes good stuff out before he loads it into the dump truck.

Some of the items could been donated to places that actually could use it. They just do this shit because a lot of times some DD will take the stuff to try and return it for the money. I know it’s sad to see the landfills get all this awesome stuff, sometimes you have trash picker uppers who do take what they can before dumping it into their dump truck. My brother has brought home good items from store dumpsters that he can use or give others before he dumps it into his truck.

Exactly like all these corps are fucking a holes... they do not care about people, all they care is selling their products... they could even donate these things but instead throw them to trash, how disgusting of them

Just make sure dumpster diving is legal wherever you plan on doing it at. And even if you do get the cops called on you wouldn’t be committing any crimes.

I think she resides in Texas. If, the business does call the call the police on you. Usually, the police, employee, business owners, or managers. Will ask you to leave their business. Just be polite & apologize follow their lead. The police & employee would generally care less. The police have bigger issues to deal with & employee are paid minimum to care. Unless their on some power trip. Now, you have two options. One: Never return to the establishments for awhile or ever. Two: Come back after store hours or when the store is officially closed.

Yes, it's very unfortunate that almost all retail, grocery stores, or fast-food do this. The retail stores or Grocery stores companies have policies & regulations that are mandatory for employees to destroy products. The reason they do this is so dumpster divers cannot used them to resold. Or customers try to bring in the item for refunds that could be considered as theft. If, an employee of the business grab the product from the dumpster on company property. That employee could be terminated & charge for theft. Which is kind of bit foolish when someone can buy the product & resell regardless. They damaged, destroy, slashed, or shredded items to get tax write off money & to avoid paperwork. Do not get me wrong there are business that do donate to local anti-poverty programs or establishments as well.
