If you have your environment texture connected to your world output, press “Open” and locate your HDRI file in your file browser. A HDRI is a special type of file which encompasses a 360 view of a real environment which you can use to light your scenes. You can find lots of free ones online, I typically get mine from PolyHaven.com After downloading, use it as the environment texture. Also, you can only see your HDRI and the effect of it in render mode. You can also make it transparent, which means you can’t see the HDRI environment in your scene but have the lighting still affect it. Go to Render properties -> Film -> Transparent. Hope this helps.

@@BlenderVitals I did it but it lights everything and not the cloud (which is the idea) and if I put a spot light it doesn’t react to it. How did you manage to change the color? I try but the color doesn’t change :(

@@TeacherClau Try increasing the strength of the HDRI and rotating it on the Z-axis using a coordinate node. Also, try increase the strength of your light more than you’d think you need to. I use cycles for all of my renders so if you’re not already using it, test it out in cycles for more realistic lighting.

Voronoi Texture

Hi glory9213, The fbx export format do not contain any volume data, skip it. Unity should be able to import the USD format, which blender can export. So you can export the blender scene to the USD scene file format, and it will create a volume folder, in there there should be a vdb file with the cloud, of course, you could just grab the VDB file from that folder and import as well in to unity.

@@glory9213 Good luck, I am not using unity though, so how good it will handle vdb´s shading I don´t know. Unreal seem to have a pretty nice pipeline/shading for VDB´s, if you do a search for embergen and unreal.

If you have the selected metaball as hidden in viewport, you will get the visual to geometry greyed out, since they are not visualized.

If you are in viewport mode, perspective, it´s in the view tab, view and often the end values, if you are using camera viewport, it could be the camera clipping end that is the issue.

Or you could simply turn it into a PNG file and use as a simpler asset in your other projects

@@scambankrunfraud I found out that the issue was the lighting in the scene. My scene was very dark except I couldn't "see" it because the dummy lighting in the editor makes it look like everything is lit, plus the ambient light needs to be cranked up somewhere if you don't have actual lights in your scene.

Did you hide the metaballs?

Describe the issue, or no one can help, the steps where it start to not work.
