The High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) is a high-fidelity Scriptable Render Pipeline built by Unity to target modern (Compute Shader compatible) platforms.
In this series of video, we're going to take a look at HDRP, and see how we can implement assets, upgrade materials, what features we can use, and more.
The HDRP utilizes Physically-Based Lighting techniques, linear lighting, HDR lighting and a configurable hybrid Tile/Cluster deferred/Forward lighting architecture and gives you the tools you need to create games, technical demos, animations and more to a high graphical standard.

Keep them comming. HDRP is highly underrated, but it makes its way. Btw, Book of the Dead looks amazing.

Dear Unity, more tutorials will be more welcomed than ever especially the ones available on site as most are obsolete features.Also before a assets is deprecated or becomes legacy one week notice should be add to description so people dont end up buying packages that are obsolete.

I switched my project to HDRP today and noticed a nice boost in framerate and overall visual quality. Being able to use Lumens and Color Temperature is really helping my sci-fi hallways stand out from each other. The only downside is that the Post Processing Stack only works in the Camera Preview, but breaks during gameplay.

This was a cool tutorial but I think it needs an update or addendum. As it seems several of the options have changed, with some of them not being available. For instance at 3:59 there is no SSRay Model option. Also, when trying to create this for a flat pane of glass, a window, it didn't work that well. I was using the Box option, using the sphere did garner mildly better results though. Anyway, still a pretty interesting tutorial but I do hope you decide to update it.

When I enable double sided, my material starts z-fighting (i.e. I will often see the back face instead of the front face and vice-versa). Any ideas on how to fix that?

6:14 The base of the glass is rendered in front of the cylinder of the nearer portion. It's wrong.

Nope! It's ryt, as the base is front of the table and is near to the side of the glass, it's rendered first

Wish he would have rotated around the glass, but he stopped moving around the scene as soon as he turned on double sided.

erm.. glass looks pretty broken doublesided. quick pause and fade out. no-one will notice.

when I put the blend mode to alpha, the alpha comes complete transparent and show what it have inside perfectly, I want a mid phase, and in susbtance painter I have the opaticity in the less level so I don't know where is the problem

Guys, do you have any idea how to make light take colors from stained glass material and how to setup it in hdrp lit shader (or any hdrp shader at all)?

what about the part when you pour a drink in the glass, will the drink show itself or would it blend with the transparent

Sir we can't use Standard material in HDRP but can we use other materials like Particle material, Mobile materials, Sprites, Nature and others.

I could have sworn at one time standard shader had a distort option for refraction, switching to an HD pipeline for a glass material is insane.

When I make a glass material on HDRP I cannot figure out how to get translucid shadows. Shadows are 100% black as if the object was 100% opaque. Shadows should be dimmer and with the general color of the base map

Try duplicating the object and putting it behind... I can't seem to fix the problem of not able to see objects with similar or same material through them.

I can only suggest changing the texture application workflow. You can take Unreal 3’s workflow as a reference, but pre-scaled materials (like current ones in Unity) is a very bad idea
