'Creepy-looking' lancetfish washes ashore in La Jolla

Deep-sea creatures washing ashore in San Diego have scientists saying they’re thrilled for the sighting while locals say it’s a bit of a shock.
"I would’ve thought it was an alien or something, doesn’t it look like that?" said one San Diegan.
"Well, that’s a creepy-looking fish," said another.
But it's not just any fish. A four-foot lancetfish washed ashore in La Jolla Wednesday afternoon.

😱 Amazed yesterday over 'football' fish & now this guy? So interesting!! Wonder what caused their wash up? Seems there'd be more if related to recent oil spill.

Someone who went to school from marine biology as well as geology the coastal topography off the shore is a trench that runs up and down the coast paralleling old fault lines that same trench is probably filling with the crude oil that has been broken by the pipelines from the ship's harboring up in LA's port hence all the heavy crude is now moving south with the currents towards San Diego from LA killing our fish yet this is somehow not newsworthy.

I heard the plates all over the world are moving. Slowly right now but moving. From a reliable source who can read seismographs.

This sounds crazy but the tetonic plates could be shifting … perhaps tsunami??? in Asian folklore it’s a bad omen when deep sea creatures show up on shores !!!

Not creepy at all , the second one, cute in his own kinda way , the question is why, question answered. Remember the song from the "Little Mermaid", Under The Sea , there are a whole lot of unidentified swimming fishies.😮 😯☺🙃🤔🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🐳🐙🐚🦀
