Crews to use explosives to remove Baltimore bridge wreckage on Dali cargo ship

I don't see the point of having the crew stay on the ship. What are they going to do if something goes wrong? They're just going to be more victims of this tragedy

The point is that someone on that ship may have broken the law, and caused the damage to that bridge ,and should be held accountable for the cost to fix that bridge !

No, they are not criminals. They just dob't have visas. if there are criminal charges, they certainly wob't apply to the entire crew.

Why not keep the crew on board? They will all be in one spot if anyone needs to contact them. There's no extra cost if they stay on the ship. I assume that they have plenty of food. Just seems overall much simpler to keep the crew on board.

Because they are foreign nationals and don't have visas. They are not criminals and are not being detained.

@GH-oi2jf Crewmember visa C-1/D is the type of visa they need, it's a temporary visa that expires after 29 days, and it's also renewable. Everybody knows that the FBI, the Maritime Authorities, the Governor, the Mayor.... It's not like they can sail with that boat anytime soon, this boat clearly needs extensive repair. 6 weeks is just wrong and inhumane

Where the hell have you been for the last six weeks? Obviously you weren't there, otherwise you would have had everything cleared away and been damn near done with putting up the new bridge by now.

What effect do these explosives have on the environment? In a rush to build a new bridge, officials are not considering the impact that a rebuild will cause first the planet.
