honestly, this is by far the best portrayal of a toxic and perfect relationship ive ever seen portrayed. They both need help. from outside eachother. honest clinical help. but they need each other as much as they make things worse? Like, neither is okay by any means. John should not be taking this the way he is and the game acknowledges this. This goes a great job at standing on the very fine line between so many things. Toxic and healthy. Good person vs bad person. Right or wrong. Self help vs Clinical. its all really good.

This game takes place in a timeline where the Thalomid crisis was handled much better, resulting in corporations gaining far more public trust, and far fewer regulations being imposed. It stands to reason they'd have made developments that haven't been made in our world, albeit likely at great cost to people's lives.

The entire time in the basement is this perfect blend of fear and depression to keep me on edge, in part due to me still having that hope of things working out. Lizzie's attitude towards medication is wrong, but I can't say she doesn't have a reason for feeling that way due to her mother's ties with KoiTec. Staying the basement, proving you could have escaped and chose not to, has got to be a flag for getting this game's good ending, assuming there is one at least. Lizzie breaking down at that realization was a fantastic scene. Also we got that love note in the locker which was absolutely hilarious.

I disagree. Lizzie’s attitude toward medication is completely valid, considering how it affected her mother and her own birth. She knows there’s something fishy with KoiTech, so her feelings aren’t unfounded. Even in real life, we’re still not exactly sure how SSRI’s work or if they even help people with depression or mood disorders.

I'm...kinda glad i'm experiencing this tbh despite the yandere vibe and the "prison" feeling of living in a basement for more than an week. I've actually gone through this VN a couple of times, and you can actually circumvent the entire kidnapping scene (you get the game's first sex scene instead) _and_ a pretty good ending depending on the choices you made. Of course getting kidnapped is a requirement for the canon end route.

The writing is even better than I initially thought. It actually seems as if they are normal people and not some dumbass, and a yandare so unstable that there is no hope but to escape. Well, they are far from normal, but both of them are capable of reasoning. Especially the yandare of all people. She's just struggling. I wonder what the other endings are. I have a feeling you're going to end up with the good ending. Spending time with her does make it more difficult for her to simply cut you down. Pushing her away would have only given her more reason to cut him up. He may be depressed, but he's intelligent to think things through and not panic. I like the protagonist. But now I'm curious about the doctor. If she's a yandare in disguise then I'll be disappointed. If not then I wonder what kind of relationship would develop between the two.

Man... the talk about not 'being yourself' on medication was TOO REAL. I felt the same way for a long time, it took me a long time to learn that even without medication we grow and change with time, and that it's better to be stable and healthy and a little different than before. I guess that's an opinion, but it's what I believe. I don't know whether it's too stereotypical or what, but isn't Lizzie a textbook sociopath? As in, she fakes emotions to get by, but doesn't feel anything... and I'm not saying that as a negative thing. It sounds scary and sad (and im saying that as someone with bipolar)

Lizzie and John have such a strange dynamic. Somehow it just... works. I loved the moments where he was torn between his feelings for her and his survival instincts/rational side. I myself honestly can't decide on the morality of most of the in-game decisions. This was brilliantly well done. I don't want it to end. :(
