Reminds me of back in college when I and my friends were talking about great superhero costumes and this one guy in our group kept on harping about character power levels. We told him to shut up if he's not contributing to the conversation.

You lost sight of the fact that this was a purely aesthetic tier list almost immediately. You started weighing gameplay aspects and letting those affect almost all of your opinions.

They surely went "I don't care anymore, put all the designers on this one" on Menat. It's a very cool different and attractive style(draws your eyes easily), and different than the usual stuff. Body proportions are unmatched, nothing "too much" and they didn't miss one chance to make her stand out positively imo. Zeku is a also a work of art.

My biggest peve in fighting games is attack animations. There are so many moves that if someone hit you with them irl, they wouldn’t hurt at all.

Would kage having Dan street fighter 4 moves it makes sense. Dan has studied and based most of his fighting style through the assassination fist ( the same style kage is using ) . It even shows Dan in a way is using the assassination fist to its full potential ( it's just that is he is bad at it ) that it matches a demon . Dan can do the raging demon ( he did in the comics . But he tripped over something when facing sakura . Well he activated ) and in crossovers games ( another form of a demon that he created ) which called the otoco michi I think

Honestly, if you don’t look at his face or little people proportions, he’d be in the running for the best Ken. I like the outfit with the dry-fit shirt with matching gloves and ankle guards, and how he lets the gi hang off of him. Fighting style His interpretation of the shoto-style is the best variant of Ryu’s OG style imo. If they bring it back in 6, then I petition that at the end of his EX tatsu, he has the overhead kick like he does in the vs series…. Maybe add the air fireball too 🤷🏽‍♂️

My final verdict of SF5 season 5: V shift made the game enjoyable. I still don't like how practice alone doesn't guarantee victory. Reads and reactions and are part of the meta and as someone who always has systematic approaches, I can't help but feel as though hard work and time spent is not rewarded. I attribute it to my being a musician: We look for "how this instrument works" and "What am I supposed to do in order to get predictable results every time?" "What guarantees success without guess work?" and then when we figure it out, we spend hundreds and thousands of hours honing it. When I pick up my sticks to play, I know exactly how I'm going to manipulate them on the drum head to get the sounds that I want, and I know what kind of stick and drums will give me the desired results every time. This approach doesn't work with SF5. So even though I enjoy it MUCH more, the ovedrall design of the game still will not fit what I look for in a fighting game. SF4 catered to that preference, which is why I enjoy it more. BUT. I cannot and will no longer call SF5 a BAD game. It gave me the one thing I ever wanted: A universal defensive mechanic. I can deal with 8 frames of lag, bad netcode, iffy visuals, etc. The lack of defense was what made the game deplorable to me and adding one makes me enjoy picking up the game and playing online. It also makes me enjoy figuring out ways that I can counter people's offense, which is always what I enjoy doing in any game that I pick up. Thank you, Capcom.

Fang is like a villian out of a Kung fu movie which is cool. And he can do that flying thing. Fang is one of the cooler characters in the game. I don't play him but he looks cool.

8:35 I agree with Max about Alex. His animations look really good (ex bomb anyone?), but his design is terrible. His backwards-facing legs and those weird side bang things..... oh boy. I personally LOVE Cody's redesign, and his animations are sick!!!
