Per request, here is how I make my storage sleeves for my scroll rods, specifically Millennium scroll rods. This design can easily be adjusted for other brands.
I had a lot of fun designing this project... I'm thinking I just might try to sew up a project bag next. It would be my first time installing a zipper.

Thank you :) I’m going to try making one starting with my 8” and then work up to the 48. I’ve been using altered pillow cases with snaps.

My machine has a off/on button so my feet are socked and (part time) in a foot massager. love the bags

You probably explained but I didn't catch the reasoning: why 2 panels of 5" instead of 1 of 10" wide and make one less seam? TIA!

+Elaine Williford Hi again! I deleted the first reply by mistake. So just to say it again, 10" strips would work for any bars up to 39 inches (with standard 44 inch wide fabric). I did 5" strips because I like symmetry, and cutting the fabric when it is folded in half sometimes messes with my spatial thinking. I do quite well most of the time, but this time not so much.

+Tricia - the left-handed stitcher. Thx - was just curious. I was trying to work out the 44-45" wide fabric into my "analysis" and was confusing myself! I do not have a millenium frame (yet :)) and will be adjusting size for my scroll rods. Right now most of them are in a dresser which stores my x-stitch things but have a couple that are too long to fit in it. Those will get storage sleeves with a handle for hanging in the closet first! Thank you for sharing your expertise!
