Have a question. If an entire phone system gets reset, say from “an even”.... When the system power backs on (battery backup ran out & everything is dead), will it hold the settings; or need to download everything again? Thx Chris✌🏼

Yes - it's just a server. If it gets powered off, it should have the same settings when powered back on.

is there also a module available for cisco, so i dont need to use endpoint manager ?

No there is not. For Cisco or any non-Sangoma phones besides ClearlyIP, you would need EPM.

@@Leyton4114 The best thing to do is probably to not plan to use Cisco phones with FreePBX. Otherwise, you're going to be preparing the config files by hand. I got a 7941G working a couple of years back, but I didn't keep detailed notes on how. It was quite an involved process, though.

Would phones lose their settings if the provisioning server disconnected?

Nope! They only use the redirect server to auto provision when they are in a factory default state.

make sure you click appy settings in red

You don't have to hit apply settings after every change - you can make a ton of changes and then just hit it once when done.

There are pros and cons to both, but this is essentially the same process as the Sangoma phones.

Good point - use the hotdesking extension that works best for your own environment.
