In my opinion the "funding for a team" was a big excuse, they would have made the site either way. All those clowns saw the success and money of skin gambling sites and launched their own despite not being involved with the cs:go community whatsoever (faze, syndicate, tmartn), wish they just stayed away and didn't try to cash in. as a kid who used to gamble on these sites, csgo wild was my favourite by far. made almost $1000 from gambling on that site when i was 15 or so. then when i moved to csgo lotto the trade bot stole my skins so i think the real enemy arent really faze in this one

deposited my knife to wild in like 15-16 and it just never showed up in my inventory, and support tickets literally just went to an empty inbox or something because i never heard anything from them.
