I'm a longtime Garageband iOS user but have started doing some recording with Cubasis. I find your tutorials quite helpful with learning how to navigate the various features of the app, which is much deeper than Garageband. I'm looking forward to more. 👍🏻

I’ve been using Cubasis since the first version. My studio DAW is Cubase Pro, and when traveling or wanting to get out of the studio, I find Cubasis intuitive as a sketch pad on an iPad Pro. But even in the studio, my iPad is always connected to a Steinberg UR44, and the real advantage for me, is that when I get a new song idea on my Eurorack rig (it’s considerable size) the instant on, and then immediate recording with Cubasis on the iPad keeps me in the moment of inspiration. My main DAW on the other hand, takes a minute or two to boot up, and often that’s enough to lose the flow. What I’m considering is eventually setting up a project in Cubasis that is always recording in a 45-minute loop, so when I am working on ideas in the studio, I can always capture song ideas in retrospect.

Yes that was my first idea for using Cubasis as well. To start a sketch of a project. But your ideas have gone beyond that already I see 😉.

Thanks for this. As a long-time Cubase user, I bought Cubasis a few months ago and have been really struggling to use it on a Samsung Galaxy. The GUI doesn't feel very intuitive to me, and although using a stylus helps a bit, the controls don't respond half the time. I will watch this through a few times and hope to be able to get more out of it. I appreciate the work you put in.

Still have to get some more experience with it myself. But I haven’t noticed any UI problems on my iPhone just yet.

I suspect that the Android version is still lagging behind iPhone in terms of certain functionalities, but I can't really compare them, having not used the latter. I use Cubase on Windows, and all the Mac users I know use Logic. I'm forever entering events that I don't mean to on midi tracks and have difficulty lengthening/shortening them. Maybe I'm just too clumsy to use this size screen! I think it would be easier to stick to using it as a multi track recorder and to use the included rhythm tracks as backing until I get a project back to the p.c. Still, it's a useful video. Thanks again.

@@jembailey8757 thanks. Could be that there still is a difference between Android and Apple versions, especially regarding open issues, but I haven't compared them either. maybe I'll notice some more 'issues' as well when I gain some more practical experience with Cubasis.

Good presentation. Was not even aware of this program. They purchase from my iPad as a sketch application. Could you just export tracks for example working on drums and bring that into your current project?

To be fair though it’s either you got it or you don’t it’s a pretty good daw even though it’s a lightweight daw

I use Cubasis for my song ideas. I save the session in the cloud. When I’m ready to finish the song, I go to my main studio computer, open up Cubase, export the Cubasis file from the cloud into Cubase and finish the song. Very easy workflow to use. However, you can ABSOLUTELY create the entire song in Cubasis.

@dccarsonmusic yes that’s what I was thinking as workflow as well. Checkout the new 3.6 version though, it has some great new instruments which makes production in just Cubasis even more realistic.

will it export a wav file and the midi tempo track from cubase 13 to cubasis 3 . at the moment exporting midifile and audiofile to ableton to get ableton link working

I’ve never really tried it from Cubase full to Cubasis. As I show in the video, I tend to go the other way around.
