I use an electric food processor to shred my leaves ,like you I roll them into a tube , I use the vegetable cutting attachment , cuts it very finely for rolling tobacco

Great! Fermenting or flue curing is really necessary for hookah tobacco where you don't want the taste of the tobacco itself? You add flavour mixtures. I can buy Virginia leaf's however they are not fermtented nor flue cured. I need to boil them before mixing with flavours however I am unsure if flue curing is necessary (also in terms of ammonia, not sure if it disappears while boiling also)

Chop the stems up and use them in the soil your growing in. or boil them up into brown water put into a spray bottle and use it on the greens of other plants to prevent bugs eating everything up.

HI Martin, just a quick question, I have tried this, not exactly the way you did it, my leaves were already de-stemmed before i cooked them, what I did was cook the leaves in a slow cooker or croc pot if you like. The leaves sat in a collander which then sat over the pot with water in it, the temperature was average 50c. The collander has holes in the bottom so there was air flow and moisture from the pot to the leaves, so, after 3 days I dried out some of the cooked tobacco it it still tastes bitter, I haven't flavoured it or anything, this is just a mixed batch of Golden Virginia and Yellow Twist leaves, any ideas?

Where did you get your shredding machine? Love your technique! Your slim pointy long leaves could be of the Little Dutch variety or perhaps Del Gold Good Video thanks for the alternative to the fermentation process and more importantly re-creating a dark shag style smoke. Happy Days
