No animal should be neutered Imagine doing it to yourself and feel it
@LaraRenee42
@LaraRenee42 2 жыл бұрын
@@suyog600 My husband will be neutered at his request in a few months. Like the pets shown, he will feel no pain during the procedure, only during recovery. If the doctor told me that a procedure would increase my life (1-3 years - dogs, 3-5 years cats), reduce my chances of cancer and other common, fatal illnesses and overall allow me to have a happier, healthier life, I'd sign right up. Our pets can't speak for themselves, but when we adopt, we promise to speak for them, to give them the longest, happiest life. Then there's the fact that spaying and neutering 100% prevents unwanted kittens and puppies. It's estimated that there are over 70 million stray cats and dogs in the USA. I won't describe the life pretty much all of these animals live. It doesn't take much imagination and it's absolutely heartbreaking. Each year it's estimated that 920,000 animals are euthanized in shelters. Many of these could have been prevented. There are even more reasons for spaying and neutering, if anyone is interested, the information is freely available. I've probably been on my soap box long enough. I can make no other choice but to spay and neuter my pets and advocate that others do the same. The cost is too high to do otherwise.

Here is a story you may enjoy. I once got "busted by a beagle." I had been very ill and was banned from going outside. (Like that was going to work.) So me and my oxygen tank tried to sneak out the back door. My next door neighbor's beagle started yowling and my neighbor chased me back in the house. Being clever, I then tried to get out the front door. Busted again. Great beagle.

My parents must have done a good job training the beagle we had when I was a child in 1960s & 70s since he didn't do the destructive or disruptive things other comments here have mentioned. If our toy trains and toy soldiers were out on the floor he left them alone. He loved playing tug of war with rags and socks, was fun to pick him up hanging on to an old sock by his mouth. He had been runt of litter and never got full size. And like the rescue collie we had after him, whatever us boys were doing, he was in! When we lived in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, he occasionally got loos and would disappear for a couple days. Neighborhood people we didn't know knew him by name! Eventually we learned that on the street up the hill was a poor family with a young son in bad health and our beagle would often go there when he got out of our yard.

@@scottfw7169 Its great to hear your parents trained him as we did our beagles. At one point we had 5 that were in an enclosure in our back yard. Never had any complain about noise. They would do the characteristic “howl” if we were out in the woods with them. It was how we knew they had found something on their hunt. Most call it “their voice”. Each one has a unique pitch and duration. That little boy must have enjoyed his visitor. Beagles are very empathic and loving. Thank you for sharing.

When I was 12 or13, we had a dog give birth on the coldest night of the year under the house. For some reason, when 4 of the 8 became hypothermic, she brought them to me. I was just a kid, I had no idea what should be done, but I thought we should rub them to get the blood moving again. The 4 she brought to me all died, they were probably already dead before she brought them out of hiding, but I got my family to help try to save them. We had to send a young, very small relative to go under the house to get the others out before they also died. I'm glad to know rubbing them was the right thing, even if it wasn't soon enough.

My sister's ex boyfriend had a job in a 'kill shelter'! His job was to throw away garbage bags full of euthanized pups (50 at a time). He did this job for just 3 days and could no longer stomach it😥💞It literally broke his heart💔 But...people have this idea they don't want to take this away from their dogs. Needless to say, these same people constantly drop off the unwanted pups at these kind of shelters where they will euthanize the pups! To me...that attitude is heartless! People should be more responsible. As far as I am concerned...it's outright murder😥🐶💞 When I took my female in to be spayed...my Vet was a very famous doctor and a real strong advocate for spay and neuter. Her name was Dr. Regina Radtke. She might still be found on the internet. Anyway, she sold her home in San Diego and moved up to San Francisco to help with spay & neutering dogs in the Humane Society's Clinics where it was a very prominent problem and many people just did not have the money at a regular vet's office to take care of this. So she was pretty much doing this for people out of the kindness of her heart. In the San Francisco area back in the 1990s, the Humane Society Low Cost Clinics were overwhelmed! She dedicated herself to this for 2 solid years. She told me that if I was not breeding my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel...it would be a good idea to spay her. Then she also told me that thos would give my femsle puppy a chance to avoid Canine Breast Cancer at a later point in life. So I feel good about what I did...to keep my pup safe later in life and to avoid an unwanted pregnancy! Just a little something to think about♡♡♡

There is something almost nominative deterministic about the mostly-absent new dad being named "Token", it seems like that's the amount of effort he put in!

It’s never a good idea to not spay or neuter a pet that you don’t plan to breed. You don’t then you get shenanigans like this.

Guess family was ashamed to show themselves. Hope went good for Pearl the cat. R.I.P. young born puppy. My first to see him & maybe his first vet air on show. Very, handsome, slim & surprisingly affectionate. Hardly see men do it. Regardless where you are from. The lady of the Beagle dog. Reminds me of the old American 1980's show Bionic woman A tad. Her body, face & hair color.

Very cute puppies, but they are going to be big dogs. Maybe just me, but I prefer small lap dogs. Little dogs with little wee, little poops, and little breaths too. I just like little dogs the most. I love all animals and wish them all the best futures with loving owners! What a great vet Scott is! I just always wonder if veterinarian care is more affordable in the European part of the world as opposed to here in the US. It is so expensive here that often we have to forgo our own healthcare to pay for our precious furbabies.

Good comment 👍. I have 2 cats that stopped eating dry food cuz it hurt their mouth. I don't know why cuz they won't let me look. I know they need to see a vet but like you said "it's too expensive"! I'm almost 70 and on fixed income. Vets should give senior discounts, maybe? It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS 💋

Breeding is bad enough, but how can you not think a female dog who’s not been fixed won’t get pregnant??

Yeah, they got good homes. But how many died in shelters bc these homes were taken by puppies that didn't need to be there bc of irresponsible owners?

People in Australia know about neutering and spaying their pets?? Its ridiculous how many we see on the show, but actually this one that was in oops pregnancy! How many other dogs now die because this dog had puppies when it could have been prevented?

This definitely wasn't a oops pregnancy there is no suck thing she became irresponsible as soon as she took in a dog knowing neither of them are fixed
