"I know I don't have a lot of healing, and chose a curse that constantly does damage, but what if I replaced shields with "mana equal to shields", meaning I have to waste another character's die to make this one do anything, and got a mage who sets himself on fire most turns"

Spiraled downwards? This run was the definition of a consistently everything is on fire run. Nothing went right from turn 1

I know this is going to sound cracked, but I have beaten the game on unfair. Some units (the barbarian/berserker/fiend) are supposed to die. You use their abilities to deal high damage and constantly resurrect them with your healer. It doesn't matter too much if they come back in the next fight with half health because they will be resurrected anyway. The strategy has worked very well for me and I'd love to see you try it! Either way, I love the series and I can't wait to see more

Have you tried Brutal? Not even sure how it's possible but some people have beaten it if the leaderboards are any indication. My best is floor 9.

@S.S. Ali unfair is harder than brutal, you have to take 20 points of curses. I beat brutal my first run. Beating unfair is insane though. Nice work

@@zacharytuttle5618 I think you're mistaken. Brutal is the harder difficulty unlocked after beating Unfair. Brutal is harder than unfair because you take 20 points of curses in Brutal vs 10 in Unfair. In fact, the in-game leaderboards show that only 9 people have beat Brutal.

Exactly! Thats why valkyrie is the best unit in the game! As long as she doesn't die, you have the chance to resurrect your party.

The trick with having steel on a mana side is realizing it means you can just spam burst on that unit for free any time the side comes up. If you get a dice reuse it goes really out of control, I was generating like 10 mana a turn off of a Leader with a Steel added to a Herbalist's middle side, and then the spell that does 3 flanking damage just clears encounters by itself.

Thank the bald for youtube videos being back... Watching slice & dice on stream was torture. Every turn would take 5 minutes to complete so the video ended up being 2 hours lol

The fact that he could've just used the fiends ability and get two mana as he died, rather than letting the banshee kill him with its passive ability hurts me. That two extra mana would have let him burst the wizard and make him dazed. So it would be possible for his sinews exert to wear off and kill the wizard with another strong attack

I think somewhere around floor 9 he forgot Burst can also do damage, tunneled hard on (not) using the managain+steel side. Prime NL tbh

I watch Northernlion during my lunch breaks at work in the company lunchroom, so I have the volume on low and subtitles on and the subtitles read "Gaze" as "Gays" and I found that mildly humorous.

I think mana gain + pain on disciple's double heal would've been good, you can just have him heal himself twice, they'd be neutral on health and would gain you 4 mana

Also pretty good on fiend. They already have pain, and it would add the mana gain keyword to the mana side for double mana.

@@blahthebiste7924 Do you know how many words that's true for? We call them homonyms. Dice is also a homonym. It's used for both definitions in the title of the game for crying out loud.
