Once you start the run, turn over and apply pressure running it around, then flip back Make the relief cuts, works great, Thanks for the video, shows you know what you're doing!

Thanks for your video, gave me the confidence to get the job done. My 2mm thick circles didn't need to have the Crack opened both sides though and I found that splitting the offcut at one point and dropping the circle out in one go was the cleanest edge I could get. I don't think it would work so well for 3mm or thicker though.

actionman22 thicker glass gets much harder & yes 2mm is great to work with & you can get the circle to drop out with 1 side cut. Thanks for the comment 👍

You can make a cut in the outer circle waste, open the cut , then flex the cut apart so the circle just drops out. But ! This is will work on thin glass but not very well on 5mm and thicker and if you try doing it on the thicker glass you will end up chipping the glass circle. But great trick for 3 mm thickness.

Before removing the cut off, push down on the scribe which separates the cut completely. Then make one cut at the front and spread the cutoff causing the center piece to drop cleanly l.

See my other videos. One of them covers that question on clear glass. But you may chip the mirror so follow the video , use plenty of kero & a nice steady even pressure on the curt

Believe it or not once you’ve been doing it for many years gloves are a pain. Required for safety & dangerous cutting & glazing jobs of course but if you (really) know what your doing it becomes optional in most cases . It becomes like working with wood 😂

I'd like to know which cutter you use. I got one on amazon for cutting mirror and I cant seem to get a smooth circle cut no matter how much cutting fluid I use. Thanks in advance!

can you easily cut a circular hole in a car window? I want to put a stove in a camper conversion and would rather not cut a hole in the body. The windows are curved and not perfectly flat

Curved glass has some tension in the glass so 80% chance of it breaking when cutting the hole. If it’s toughened / tempered glass it can’t be done ! Cheaper to get a clear polycarbonate sheet cut to size that can be flexed to a curve with a hole in. DONT use Perspex, curved glass with a hole ( min) $1,000 I hope that helps you out. 👍

Oops! Did I see you cut your finger at the end? I've been a glazier since 1978. Note: Leave only 1" of space between the circle edge and the outer edge. Makes it easier to remove the falloff.
