I watched your video twice. I had already experienced three failures. I had immediate success following your demonstration. Worked like a charm. Thank you so much for your excellent video

Than you for teaching us how to cut a glass circle. This is Exactly what I had in mind when I bought same tool, just is all metal, since the plastic gives up shortly, according to Amazon's reviews.

Hi ... if someone still reads the comments associated with this video I have a couple of remarks. But first many thanks to Warren for making this video - it undoubtedly got me through cutting four 43/41 cm circles with no broken glass :-) ... And then the comments: It seems to me that to have a straight/vertical cut through the glass one has to push equally on both sides of the cutting line. Otherwise the cut tends to angle towards either of the sides. And then, secondly, I used kerosene along the glass cutter's path - recommended by others on the internet and I decided to be as safe as I could as I had never done this before. I dipped a cotton swab in the kerosene and then placed it just in front of the glass cutter while gently rotating the cutter full circle. Thanks again to Warren ;-)

HI Warren, Quick Question: I'd like to cut 4 circles about 3" diameter in a sheet of glass to use this piece of glass with holes in it to set hydroponic plants in/through holes. I'd also like to round the square edges off the final piece of glass with 4 holes in it because this final product will sit on top of a cylinder that is either 7, 8, or 10 inches in diameter. Would you feel like trying this as a challenge or have any input? :) Thanks!!

So that mean you can't do the hole without breaking the glass XF

Don't do the pressing technique with 1/4 glass unless you have 4 inches of cut off on all sides

My new job wants me to cut big circles freehand. Why would anyone cut a circle freehand? Its making me mad. It's a manufacturing job. Why cut freehand when cutting a circle using a center point has been a thing since antiquity!

Why dont you use gloves for safety?
@WarrenNorgaard5 жыл бұрын
If you handle the glass responsibly, no gloves are necessary.
