@@rjarora Berg mentioned it in another video but eating lots of carbohydrates can cause stiffnes in your joints and muscles, especially in the morning. For me those are also gone with LowCarb/Keto and intermittent fasting. When I do have a night of lots of carbohydrates (e.g. at a party) I immediately notice the next day how stiff everything is again. I do have psoriasis, so it might be less noticable if you are otherwise healthy.

Julie ~I do agree with you in staying away from eating BEEF because of too high saturated fat content, fed GMO corn, antibiotics, and growth hormone steroids. “BUT” I strongly recommend, if you can get farmed organic or especially wild bush meat like Mule Deer is better eating than Whitetail Deer, Fallow or Red Deer, Caribou, Moose (I was raised with this), Bison (Buffalo), and/or ELK. These meats are much more healthier than BEEF, with very low saturated fat (about 10% of BEEF) and organic with no chemicals added to the meat like growth hormone steroids, etc. Also another thing to consider is organic Goat meat, organic Lamb is good but a higher saturated fat content. ~Also of course when eating >>any “meat” products of any kind

if I told anyone about Methyleneblue they would ask when I started drugs. jokes aside, B12 and other vitamins helped pull me out of a depression, and I mean bad depression. I had GALLONS of urine in jugs, never left my room, wanted to die, and felt like I was going to die anyway. I'm still recovering but I finally had the energy to clean my room. I have carpet again. I have more energy and I'm not constantly sore. I've been slowly picking up my weights again, though I can feel how out of shape I am. I'm still thin but if I get to the point of sweating it feels like I'm going to pass out from heat exhaustion and my heart feels weak. I used to have a very strong heart but after years of sitting and not doing anything I'm sure something must have happened. so I try not to stress my heart too much but I'm slowly building cardio and endurance again. I don't think anyone will read this or care but it helps me write it down. it's a really big achievement for me. anyway, have a great day and stay healthy :)

I am a "Senior" who has had enormous benefit from switching to methylcobalimine from the cyano-version. I USED to be very diabetic with great peripheral neuropathy damage to my feet and even hands. That damage is "supposed" to be permanent but mine is virtually GONE and I have regained full sensation everywhere---NO numbness or fire-feet! Seniors tend to become unable to properly digest and absorb vitamin B-12 from lack of stomach acid, and develop a range of "ageing" conditions, especially Psoriasis. A daily "megadose" of one to two and even three milligrams of Methylcobalimine is warranted, not toxic, and do not give up until you find an Internist who agrees with that. Yes, my psoriasis is gone too!.............................elsullo

Causes of vitamin B12 deficiency: • Not consuming foods high in vitamin B12 • Stomach inflammation • H. pylori • Low stomach acid • Gastric bypass • Inflammation in the intestines *Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic version of vitamin B12* (contains cyanide!) Potential side effects of cyanocobalamin: • Vomiting • Stomach problems • Low potassium • Headaches • Fever • Dizziness *The best form of vitamin B12 is the natural version called Methylcobalamin* This version is the active form of vitamin B12 and stays in the body longer than the synthetic versions. Potential benefits of methylcobalamin: • It may help improve sleep • It can decrease the need for sleep • It can help you wake up feeling alert and refreshed • It can help you fall asleep faster • It's great for the nervous system (especially the myelin sheath) • It supports healthy eyes • It increases melatonin • It decreases homocysteine • It can help regulate cortisol • It supports the red blood cells Thank you Dr Berg!😸👍

It’s so frustrating that this type of B12 is in almost everything that claims to have B12 over the counter. I’ve known this for decades which is why I’ve always chosen quality water in glass bottles over many vitamin drinks, fortified juices, etc. There are other vitamins (ie Vit C as citric acid from gmo corn, folic acid instead of folate, others we still don’t know about yet) that aren’t in their most nontoxic or useful forms added to many supplements and “foods” also. That’s why my health drastically improved after eating the cleanest and most nutrient dense whole foods I can possibly source, stopping supplement pills/powders (this space isn’t regulated and I’m personally not impressed with the items that are anyway) and using quantum upgrade and a rife machine only when needed. We’re all unique so this is just what I found to be optimal for me. Actually, my quantum upgrade subscription was a game changer.

There are so many doctors on this platform pushing the cyanide version over the methyl version, and they give convincing arguments. I am switching over to methyl for now since I have developed a potassium deficiency and want to rule out the B12 as the cause. I also seem dizzy after I take my morning B12 cyano version. I am a long term dysautonomia sufferer, so when dizzy symptoms return I get nervous. And I had a DVT a year ago and I still get swelling. So I want to make sure to get my potassium back up.

Having a fatty liver with stage 3 scarring, as well as Crohn's disease makes it even more challenging. If you're not methylating properly, methylcobalamin can be a nightmare for anxiety type symptoms even in small doses. Hydroxycobalamin does not have this effect and may work better for these people temporarily along as their liver is able to convert it.

Hydroxycobalamin is the real version of b12, it has been given as an injection for treating cyanide poisoning for many decades. The hydroxycobalamin binds to cyanide to neutralize it and become the less toxic cyanocobalamin which is generally removed in the urine, small amounts can be breathed out. If you take a lot of cyanocobalamin it displaces the real versions of b12 which must be carried by intrinsic factor in the blood, filling up all the IF so even if the liver is making more it can't be transported in the blood. Therefore taking cyanocobalamin causes b12 deficiency which increases cyanide toxicity since many fruits and grains have some level of cyanide in them which are normally detoxified by b12. Methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin are co-enzymes of real b12 (hydroxycobalamin), but even taking high doses of those can cause b12 deficiency because they also fill up all the intrinsic factor which is needed to transport b12 in the blood to where it's needed. If you're going to take b12 it should optimally have at least an equal part of hydroxycobalamin if you want a blend containing also methyl and adenosylcobalamin. Cyanocobalamin should not be consumed by any living thing, it's a (less) toxic waste product of detoxifying cyanide.

LOL... I just bought a bottle of B12 while looking for B1. I couldn't find B1 at the drug store I was in. They didn't even have a space for it. I was suckered by the "Boosts Energy" claim on the bottle. Since I've been dragging for literally years I popped two B12 's in the parking lot, hoping for a magical fix to my problem. (Hey, if a little is good, a whole lot must be better, right?) About two hours later, I felt exhausted. I swear it had the opposite effect. I stuck with it, however, taking it at night. Found the B1 about a week later. After starting the B1, I began to notice a little improvement. After watching this video, I can't help but wonder if the cyanide component is actually what is bringing me down. Two pills, according to the label, equates to 40,000% of the average daily allowance. Needless to say, while Dr. Berg was speaking, I went to the cabinet and threw that bottle of B12 in the garbage. I swear! You can not trust anything you buy or anyone you buy from! I bought this from a big box drug store!

When I check B12 in my practice, most are deficient. As for detox genes, hydroxocobalamin to get rid of cyanide such as in Leber's disease, and methylcobalamin for MTHFR. Also, much of the B12 in meat is fecal contamination or supplements they inject into the animal. As for your keto plan, a significant shortening of lifespan has been shown. You must differentiate complex carbs like sweet potatoes from soft drinks/refined carbs and carbs that have an excellent health profile due to fiber and other vitamin and mineral components such as whole fruit vs juices. Considering yourself an expert does not mean competence. I have treated patients following your diet for severe heart disease. The carnivore diet lead to one case of scurvy 4 years ago. I wish proper debate occurred as a lot of your nutritional facts fall apart under proper scrutiny. Whole foods are important. Grains were very healthy if little processing occurred until we began using massive amounts of pesticides and herbicides. Much of celiac disease is improperly diagnosed and is actually a reaction to glyphosate. Much of the cases appeared in 2006 and since then due to spraying grain with glyphosate to accelerate drying for rapid transfer to market. I can eat Italian (made in) wheat foods, organic but nothing from North America. There is a difference between unhealthy foods and poisoned healthy foods. Also, much of the cattle is fed this poisoned food and the pesticides and herbicides reach much higher levels in their flesh than most plant foods and a cow will eat multiple times more than we do. Same concept for mercury accumulation up the food chain in marine life. Wild game is much safer. I wish popular people like you were better informed because I would rather not believe this is malicious self-enrichment (agro-industry) such as the inventor of keto, Taubes, a journalist. He invented his diet inspired by a few studies of which the authors described him with terms close to, among other things, incompetent, dangerous, unable to understand basic scientific concepts, etc.

Jay, I totally agree with what you’re saying. Fortunately I do think Dr. Berg pushes the complex carbs more than eating strict carnivore. I don’t think he’s a fan of carnivore like Dr. Ken Berry. With all due respect...bs! Babies (and mothers in the last trimester) are born in ketosis. No one has to be strict keto...but cycling with low carb, and addition of starchy veggies once in a while (along with fasting) is more like early man's diet...you know, what helped our brains evolve. ** My endocrinologist helped kill my thyroid. So much for education. Interesting post on the B12. Thanks for explaining that. I think Berg supports keto to keep people away from grains knowing it’s full of pesticides. He also supports only grass-fed grass-finished beef and organic foods. I’m not saying he’s 100% correct on everything he posts, but maybe you need to see what he does encourage to have a better understanding of his food practices. I do agree with you on wild game.
