One big problem no one talks about was their engine. If I am not mistaken this is running on the same engine as the Witcher 3 which they had to modify to suit a first person shooter style, this kind of shift usually creates internal problem with the old code of the engine, Same thing happened when Bioware was forced to use Forstbite, and engine made for FPS which made their games have many issues.

I love to see that you're treating games like the interactive pieces of cinema they are. They really have come a long way since Space Invaders and Yoda Stories.Thanks for the great content!

I got about 20% through the main quest before i decided to uninstall and wait for most of the patches to roll out, I also want more mini games like racing, gambling, fighting, and high priority bounty hunting

I had this cool little bug where Regina (one of the game's 'Fixers') didn't call me once to give me the run-down on a side-gig, but then called me after it was done to do so. Then , when I went to start the next side-gig, she called me, wrapped up the previous one, and gave me my eddies. If I am not mistaken, this will mean that I will not have any closure/payment for the last gig I do for her. Made me start a new game, that one.

besides regular crashes i've been having a blast with the game, I'm on my second playthrough and am planning my third immediately after i finish. My gripes are more with the invisible walls and barriers that halt exploration. Learn the gta lesson, let us go everywhere. even if it is empty. Also there are just straight up holes in the geometry behind the aircar dealer and around apu's convenience store.

There's also a very funny bug where you turn a quest in at Dakota Smith's location (vehicle recovery/theft so you have to be there) but she calls you as usual to end the quest, so you can be stood in front of her as she spouts stock dialogue at the same time as having a different conversation with her via video call.

I have a mild addiction to Cyberpunk 2077. I have close to 90 hours on my game, and there's a big list of responsibilities I've ignored to play that much.

Thanks for pulling us through a tough year. 108 hours into cyberpunk, would love to see more content about the cyberpunk theme in general! ✨

I would love to see a story analysis on these kind of games. The Outer Worlds by Obsidian would be a good contender for this as well. Though considering the scope, maybe they'd be this part of the story analysis. The main story part, and the companion story part, etc.

For some reason I haven’t experienced a single glitch in the entire game after downloading the first update and don’t see many problems with it at all.

Playing on PC, with an i5 and GTX970, the only game breaking bug I've had is tech weapons occasionally not being fireable when I ADS, and after the 2nd patch, I've not had that problem again. There are some annoying issues that occur on occassion like enemies/loot falling into terrain and becoming unlootable, but at this point I can't remember an RPG that I've played that didn't have something like that happening every once in a while. The characters in the game are great, the story is compelling, and the gameplay is good enough that I can't really complain about it. 55 hours to complete one play through, and I missed a lot of side quests and barely scratched the surface of the gigs and encounters around the city. The game was definitely worth it.

It's basically a cyber version of skyrim with the glitches and bugs xD

It's a shame the game isn't working out for some people. I've been playing it on the Series X, and it runs like a treat. A few bugs here and there, but it looks amazing. The story, characters, world building, music ect. Best game I've played it years. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Even though I’ve had so many crashes, issues with freezing, frame rates making me nauseous, characters talking over each other, some missions not working, cops shooting me after I’m in a mission that permits me to use lethal force, and the all the stupid corporate stuff I’ve heard, I’ve had a ton of fun with this game. The story is amazing, and the details seem great (can’t tell my game runs at like 20fps on base XBoX One)

Even with the bugs and some terrible mechanics I still really enjoy this game. So much creativity and hard work went into this project and it shows on every street corner. Just need to squash those bugs and add some missing features and it will be well on the way to legendary status.

wish they had gone with more of a sandbox design, game world is great but the quest system wont let you just explore it at your own pace

I held off until after Christmas to crack it open, so patch 1.0.6 was the state when I started. The bugs I've experienced have been almost universally visual in nature, apart from a a few crashes. I've found exactly what you said about driving to be true and I would add that it feels as if a LOT of side jobs were intented to have chase scenes at their ends which are simply absent in all but one I've done so far (the land mine one in the badlands has some military suvs spawn and give chase). A few even had pursuit vehicles spawn and be present but not trigger when I drove off right past them. That's the strangest aspect of the game so far for me, well that and the lack of adaptability in the tactics the enemies use. I can sit in one spot and pick them off often without them trying to flank me or pursue me, so long as I am far enough away and in an elevated position. It's there, sometimes they act in a coordinated fashion but most often each enemy acts alone. Its a polish thing for sure. That said I've been thoroughly enjoying the game so far.

The most annoying feature is the engine and the cops. You can go deep in a building, or a tunnel, and punch a wall or shoot in the air. Suddenly 3 cops will rush out from the bathroom, and if you go backwards in one other room, there will be 2 others waiting. Go out to the balcony, and 2 drones shoot at you. The same problem is with the blue police-gigs. Assault, massacre in progress. If you choose the glorified stealth-path, and go around the bandits, randomly get a police-warning, because you aren't in a shootout, but you have a drawn weapon. You go in, kill/knock out everybody, you get the reward from the police, as money and as XP. Cool. After 2 seconds, you have a star on you, and 5 policeman shoot at you from 2 meters, because you have a gun at you.

I play on PC and even though I still see bugs, they’re mostly just visual bugs and animation glitches. So far, I am absolutely LOVING this game and I just wish it didn’t have to release in the state that it did because if it didn’t, it definitely would have been added to the list of the best video games of all time.

Upon replay I’ve found the whole branching story aspect of the marketing to be pretty deceptive, but then I realised it’s not an RPG anymore

I'm on the last generation of xbox, I got the game for Christmas and since having booted the game up and playing into it for awhile I can say from ny experience that it's a very playable. I've only experienced minor texture errors that broke the flow of the game but nothing described to the level of brokenness that I had heard of.

On PC with a low-but-within spec graphics card - mostly annoying glitches like items that can’t be picked up, a couple of corpses snapping up to float in the air. My biggest glitch was failing a stealth run and pulling out my tech sniper rifle only to discover it wouldn’t fire (other weapons would). A reload fixed that.

I bought cyberpunk with a stadia starter bundle. This was my introduction to the 'console.' on it the most intrusive glitch I've had was not being able to pickup a loot item. Even that would happen maybe 1/100 times. I have about 60 hours on it. I'm glad that stadia was what I got it on, especially hearing all of the glitches, crashes and unplayability on other systems.

Though cyberpunk had a rough start those three patches made a significant difference in gameplay and I can only hope that CD project red continuously expand repair and broaden The game and story

I agree that cars aren't all too pleasant to drive. Like the motorcycles more, especially Jackie's, they are easier to handle. Figured out how to drift around corners and dodging through the traffic is easier.

Honestly, I was surprised my 5 year old PC with 1070 even managed to run the game. But let me tell you, after beating the game, I want to play it again. With so much to do, and so many places to go, several different endings, stuff to find, the game is such a gem. Sure. It isn't nearly as perfect as we all expected it to be, but I see huge potential in it. If they nail the DLCs like CDPR did for The Witcher series, then this is going to just keep getting better. I want to get that secret ending!

This game is an emotional rollercoaster from story optimisation gameplay and characters..... I love and appreciate all the hard work the devs put in but hate how greedy & shady the corporate side of CD Projekt Red has been (The irony is crazy) I love the game though and CAN wait for the DLC's and updates to come rolling in.

Honest opinion after 180 hours on three different characters, builds and having seen and read everything that is in the game at the point of 1.06. This is one of the most immersive experiences I've ever had with interactive art of any kind. The bottom line is, that's all that matters for me and CP2077 went above and beyond. Looking forward to more updates, patches and dlcs. Played on PC.

I've been hyped for this for quite a long time. Sadly it sucks horribly on ps4 and since I just got 1 a year ago and can't afford a ps5, New Xbox or high end pc im SOL. This game is more broken the kingdoms of amalaur and that game got shit on because of its bugs and died out but it was an amazing game. At least it was playable

Over 50 hours in on my old xbox one. Only 2 crashes. The game looks a bit fuzzy, but honestly I'm sad how dead the world feels, you cant use 99% of the stores or food vendors you find, and you only "eat" in cutscenes, just like you really dont get anything done at the ripper, it's just a shop. No cutscene or anything to make it creepy to chop up your body for metal

Does anyone else have this on Series X or PS5?? I almost bought it but wanted to wait and see if the bugs were bad on those platforms.

I would really like to hear your opinion on the lack of combat AI and the quite awful Police AI and wanted mechanic, or more like the lack of it. I like the game a lot, and I absolutely love the characters, story, the soundtrack (SO good) and NC in general, but it is quite empty for an open world and yeah my PS4 can barely get past 15 stable frames. I finished the main story just to know how it played but I had to put the game on hold until it gets fixed or I get my hands on a PS5

Voice acting, music, and animation are all very well done. After 3rd patch it's running quite well on xbone. (Similarly, Skyrim & Fallout 4 had as many issues at launch.)

Another game is also called a flawed masterpiece and as an RPG that was based off of table top game and also had a broken release vampire Masquerade bloodlines and over the years the mentality has changed on the game for sure

This should be a wake up call to all the preorder boys and girls.

I beat it on PC and i did enjoy the game and thought overall its a solid game, the game can be best described as you say 'broken masterpiece' or as i say 'beautifully broken'. The broken bits go further than simple stability and performance issues, the game feels cut down from what was promised. For example there was supposed to be a wanted system where cops can hire people to come after you and you can pay off corrupt police. This doesnt exist in the game and the cops simply teleport behind you and appear out of nowhere when you commit a crime. The game also has a scripted chase in the beginning but these too dont exist outside of scripted events. The subway that we saw in the trailers also doesnt exist and subway stations just act as fast travel teleportation hubs. The cops wont even chase you. I mostly found myself going from mission to mission to just go with the main and side story and try not to 'explore' because these issues jump out at you. While night city looks beautiful its incredibly empty if youre trying to do more than go from mission to mission. The city is ultimately a backdrop or prop for the story. The things i really liked about the game are the story, the different ways you can develop V with the perks and weapons, the atmosphere, the music, the characters and the lore of the world. If you have a solid PC i'd definitely recommend the game but just keep your expectations reasonable (which i understand is difficult for a game that was this hyped and the disappointment by people is justified without even counting all the people that are having a terrible experience on consoles).

They showed the masterpiece back in 2018. I wouldn't call this version of the game a "masterpiece", should have been delayed alot longer.

I played on my PS4, although it had it's bugs it was not as game breaking as what I saw on KZfaq, the worse thing I had were constant crashes.

I played on my Xbox one, and had very few bugs on it. And with the patches it's even better. Never had to restart a save to fix a mission

I played through the main story on series x a week ago and it ran smoothly with not too many bugs or glitches. I feel like I got more than my money’s worth with this one

I just got it on ps4 and haven’t had any major immersion breaking issues, been enjoying it a lot.

The biggest mistakes CDPR did was giving release dates way before the game was ready for launch and releasing the game when it clearly wasn't ready.

It’s a shame the game had to be released be like this, because underneath all of those bugs and issues I could see there being a genuinely good game that could have maybe lived up to the hype it gathered around it.

I got it for christmas on ps4, I've had a blast with it

Had two quest breaking bugs which have forced me to restart a quest and one which is persistent (the How To Skin A Cat computer bug), aside from the odd glitch it's been running fine. Even scaling it right down on my old 1050 laptop gave a pretty consistent ~30fps albeit taking a big hit graphically. Because the game is so poorly optimised and usage spikes mean big fps hits I've been setting max fps to far less than my main laptop is capable which has made for a smooth experience, also enable slow HDD mode if you have a lot of vram as this game doesn't seem to be utilising fast SSDs as well as it should.

just give it a chance. wait for the updates and play it when it's ready. no rush, people. we're all stuck in our houses anyway.
