The current market/economy is unnecessarily tougher for boomers/senior citizens, I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

What they're eating is high carbohydrate junk. People are eating assembly-line beef raised on GMO corn because free range, grass fed beef is so expensive.. They're eating eggs from corn fed, caged chickens at $2.00/dozen instead of nutrition dense, free range chicken eggs at $6-8/dozen.. Our people are suffering from increasing rates of diabetes and heart disease and other diseases related to obesity, all brought on by bad food, bad diet..

I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some, and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides $250k to invest for future, unfortunately I am a complete noob.

True, A lot of folks downplay the role of professionals until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors Linda Sue Baier and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

I know it's a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but I'd also love to know the means of actualizing short term profit. Do you ever trade for others? I'm trying to build a portfolio of at least $850k ahead of retirement.

I agree , I assumed I had a hang of the market at first, I gained $50k one year and I was super elated, not until I stumbled upon a portfolio-adviser Linda Sue Baier whose been guiding me since the market's been sham after the pandemic, to my utmost surprise I netted a whopping $380K during this dip, that made it clear there's more to the market that we avg joes don't know

Seems like hourly minimum wage hovers around the cost of a fast food meal... I remember in the 2000s when it was around ~$5, then ~$7 - now it's like ~$12-15 for a meal and better fast food is like $20. SMH I just cook cause it's better and cheaper.

To be fair. Getting 2nd hand appliances are most likely better. My dryer broke down last week. Repaired for less than $200. It will probably last 6 years or more before breaking down. It only has 3 settings, a timer, and an off/on switch. That is all my family need for a dryer. Getting a new dryer was out of the question. Simple is better. Low tech is the best solution when you need appliances to do one thing very well. It doesn't need to do anything more than that or look like something that doesn't look like a tumbler than spins in circles.

There is no good news.. The US debt is $34.5T, interest on that debt is $1T and it will be borrowed too. .The debt can never be retired with "real" money, only with mountains of green toilet paper. In the near future you can call us North Venezuela and the USD will be called the New Bolivar. Wait until people find out that the funds that used to be filled for Social Security have been drained decades ago and they have to keep printing more to supplement what these people earned which continuously inflates the currency and has been for decades but if they can keep the numbers low enough then they don't have to pay out the proper amount
