Biden and the Democrats , and those that supported FJB stole the last election. Nobody I know voted for that Brain Dead POS FJB. I believe the last election was a fraud done bye the Democrats. As a result I will never ever vote for another Democrat ever. Trump won the last election and too many people know it!

Another reason to get rid of Democrats that spend the USA into a hell hole. Another Reason Trump will win. Imagine 40% of your house proceeds is taken away. These new Democratic taxes are insanity. What kind of idiots voted for FJB. Politicians need to understand taxes force changes, and those changes are forcing people out of the USA. Stop the wasteful spending in this government. People need to stop voting to tax others. The idea is any tax you vote for cost you money.

Thanks to David Lin for making this debate possible. I think it would really help at times if he could sum up the differing views of the debaters: it's sometimes confusing what each one is defending and the differences between them. Thanks

Peter, the clip with Goldstein is apparently taken out of a new documentary "Finding The Money", which claims MMT viewpoints. So not only is Goldstein clueless, the question itself is an attempt to promote MMT.

Peter is right about bitcoin. So is Steve. BUT....one has to look at how people perceive value. It's psychology. The charts are pictures of human psychology of what buyers and sellers believe about the value of an asset over time. Yes, Bitcoin is a scam, a con, absolutely inherently worthless...BBUUUUTTTTTT having said that, that does not mean that people are not going to pour tons of money into it...I mean, after all...they believe that a cold virus can be vaccinated against throught injecting an experimental gene therapy.....And I know that is so wrong from my high school health class I took back in 1968. So, I guess they can be convinced that Bitcoin has value...Value's made by things like these. Who am I to disagree? So we have 5% of our portfolio in Bitcoin.

Interesting how over 2% inflation has been a concern when central banks and the Fed begin to hike interest rates. I consider the rising interest rate to be a very serious issue since it will undoubtedly cause more investors to withdraw their money from the stock market. But then I'm still aware of certain investors that continue to earn over $365,000. Wish I could accomplish that.

This windbag doesn’t know what he’s talking about… QE cause the problem bailed out banks and never cleared the toxic assets of the book.. CPI is flawed how can u not have food and energy in CPI…Peter is right Japans savings rate kept them from falling because Feds in Japan kept created money supply the savings offset it.. cut spending across the board.. Clinton raided social security to get surplus which was 111 million … Peter never said that he’s saying government won’t do it…I guarantee if u cut Medicare Medicaid SSI and Defense by 20% and raise taxes by 3% over 12 years by .3%. / yr Japan was suckered to buying US Realestate and got burned we are in a recession 30% of home owners are behind on their pymts by almost 3 months they will walk away or just lose their homes does that remind u of 08 then government will bailout home owners who are the greedy ones asking to be bailout school loans home loans car lines what’s next gas and food

I think that inflation topic is more nuanced, namely you could have some sectors experiencing inflation and others deflation. There is clearly a turning point now, where the real estate, stocks and bonds have been hiding the real inflation by crazy overvaluations and now they started to deflate - in the same time, the comodities mega cycle turned up after long long years of deflated prices and are now shooting to the moon. Since comodities prices are affecting the cost of living everyone feels the pain. The government conveniently keeps away from CPI the cost of energy and food hence they hide the REAL INFLATION
