On my birthday one year, my Midwestern father took me to Ace Hardware for TWO hours. We walked through the whole store, talked to every employee, and left with nothing. Turns out my mom was throwing me a surprise party back home, but alarm bells didn't go off at all because we spent hours in Ace every week anyway.

Maybe. But Fleet Farm had to be done first. 🤗. Also, I go to Menards only if I know no one else carries something. I go to Fleet Farm, Ace or Tru Valu if I actually want to find / get something. We’ve lost various family members in Menards over the years after weeks of looking. We’re still searching for them. If you’re still out there, somewhere, David, Linda, Burt and little Tina, we’re not giving up! 😫😭😭 Edit: in case you’re wondering what assistance we got in this matter from store staff, management, security cameras or corporate, they were of no help whatsoever. Police nor our lawyers could track any of them down for contact. 😁

Everyone's hating on Menards, but it IS great if you're trying to figure out a solution to a weird problem by looking at stuff and don't want to be interrupted by employees asking if they can help you. But if you do have questions, it'll be quicker to find someone who can help you at Ace. Even if you're already at Menards.

Not a dad, but having to take care of My grandma's cabin 24/7/365. My thing used to be that I "forgot" to but something "important" and to "have trouble" finding it. Kinda got blown out of the water when my grandmother started to notice anytime she was with I had stuff found within minutes of entering the store.

You can tell this is an older FF store since it doesn’t have the huge orange silo (unless it’s out of frame). But I, too, could spend hours in a Fleet Farm. My mom, too, since she’s the handywoman in my parents house, installing tile, woodworking, planting, bird feeding and other stuff like that.
