What a vid! I’m from Holland and thought i knew most things about him and still learned so much from this vid, great work. Only thing you missed is that he still got called up by the national team for the european championship while being investigated, that pissed off a lot of fans.

Not a failed wonderkid lmao. He reached the level where he belonged. Just a good player for clubs like Spartak, Ajax, mid-table or lower teams in the top 5 leagues, Benfica/Porto etc. He failed outside of football.

I remember playing him in pes 2017 as I liked to use Ajax quite abit when playing against my dad. Other than Ziyech and Tadic (not too sure whether he’s at Ajax for this version of pes), promes stood out to me for being more technically gifted while being quite pacey too. He managed to score quite a few goals while I used Ajax. Good times

He is playing for Spartak Moscow right now, so he did not stop playing football, earning him at least 2 million a year, and 2nd topscorer in the league, not even as a striker. Russia is probably gonna give him state citizenship.

Breaking news: Promes has been arrested in Dubai for causing an accident and then driving off. A Russian minister has stated that there is nothing they can do for him since he does not have the Russian nationality. The Netherlands has started negotiations with the United Arabic Emirates in order to hand him over. Fun fact: The Netherlands most wanted criminal, Ridouan Taghi has also been arrested in Dubai and handed over to The Netherlands. It doesnt look like Promes will escape his punishment

Could you do a video on Larbi Benbarek? He was an amazing Moroccan footballer but now is mostly forgotten. In my opinion he's the best Moroccan player of all time. He was the most successful black footballer of his time and was nicknamed ''The Black Pearl of Africa'' He was one of Pele's idols. Pele once said "If I am the King of Football, then he is the God of it." when asked about Benbarek. This might be hard to research since he's not well known and most the articles on him are in French.

The Go Ahead Eagles seems to have a bad influence on young player. The former Schale player Willi Krause alaso played for them in 1963/64. He was also a good striker and scored a year later 23 goals in 24 games for TB Berlin and also a respectable 16 goals in 36 games for Schalke in the Bundesliga. But he became more famous or better infamous for his actions of the field. He lost his place with Schalke after he was caught with stolen goods a crowbar and other burglar tools in his car. He was later convicted for bank robbery other robberies, possession of weapons and cocaine deals. He died in 2008 shortly before his next trial for weapon offence charges.

@@swiggeyy8620 obviously drug dealers aren't victims and typically aren't deserving of much sympathy, but drug dealing can be extremely addictive and i'd say there's a high chance this guy in particular was involved with drugs from a young age and once he succeeded as footballer he kept going. i would go as far as saying most drug dealers were victims in some form or way, but once you begin drug dealing you're stripped of any right you have to be a victim.

Promes is Dutch, and in our language pro means pro as in you're not against something, but cherish it. Mes means knife, and the attempt to murder was with a knife. So even the name he's gotten at birth suits him perfect 😂
