Production Car Challenge series in iRacing had participant voting for the schedule and we got ovals through a few times. MX-5 and Solstice at Lakeland was goat'd

I watched the MX-5 races at Daytona road course & Tampa street course that Indycar runs. Very good racing.

I would drive from SC just to see this! I've been to MX-5 Cup races at Daytona (for the 24hr race) and at Road Atlanta (for Petit Le Mans). Let's see what the normal MX-5 Cup field can do here with maybe a few NASCAR drivers mixed in! Edit: I would keep the MX-5 Cup cars to making appearances at short tracks, road courses, and street circuits for safety reasons. There have been some nasty crashes over the years but thankfully it's been at speeds where the chance of serious harm is reduced. Those roll cages are built tough, but they were never meant to go faster than the Daytona Roval!

When can I buy tickets?! MX-5 Cup is one of the best racing series going right now, never miss it. Just spent a few days at VIR just to see those guys. Miata's & hotdogs... I'm in!

If you think this is nuts, watch the MX-5 Cup races at Daytona. It's the road course, but they're still bump drafting and rubbing, the cars are momentum racers so they race hard and close and it's always wild. They're crazy fun wherever they go, Martinsville would be a blast.

I live the mx 5 on iracing won a few races not many that car is so different then a nascar just like dale said it drives like a dream but at a snap of the wheel you lose it quick

Not the first time, I believe. There's one time when he drove Ford late model for Bobby Hamilton's team, which resembled the Petty Blue No.43. However, the 4 was taped over to leave just the 3.

@@ThatsMe4723 It's an existing single-make series that runs support for IMSA and certain Indy street races. Most likely they'll add one or two races as support for NASCAR events

These would be better than the xfinity series i think if it was more than just mazda. As a non American i have no reason to watch something that looks like its set up as just to be a crapper version of cup cars. They don't even have their own name, they are called after the sponsor , they should be called trophy cars and run different different engines and body style to the cup cars. If cup cars run v8's than maybe the next series down should run v6's and the trucks straight 6's. It has to be more than just a different piece of metal on the outside and more relatable to the average international driver with more manufactures and models, they don't even sell chevrolet in this country.

Look at BTCC, over the years they have had in the one field Salon/sedan cars, wagons, hatchbacks and coupes both front and rear wheel drive all racing each other. All look like the cars you can go out and buy.
