Judge Mathis

Judge Mathis

2 жыл бұрын

The plaintiff says he got in touch with the defendant to book some female entertainment for a party. He claims the dancers arrived late, were the wrong entertainers, and were on their phones during the performance. He’s suing for breach of contract. The defendant insists she sent the correct dancers. She also claims he failed to tip and even propositioned one of the women. She denies owing him anything. #JudgeMathis #RealityTV #Court

The looked cheap. And he was cheap, too. So they fit each other. Once upon a time, I did stripping back when it was real stripping, the classic type. You also had to look very, very 'clean' while stripping. Also, a cop was always there to insure we didn't touch anyone or strip too much, this was back in 1969, not today and there were no 'stripper poles', either. A comedian would come on stage between dances to tell jokes. Ahem. Lots of jokes.

Wow this episode really educated me and opened my eyes to a lot of things I’ve been to several strip clubs and sadly us men and some women too demean and are very condescending towards exotic dancers I didn’t know some were that talented and had so much going on for themselves now I feel horrible for looking down on these women 🤦🏾‍♂️ I respect the defendant I’m glad she stood up for these women and broke everything down for me b/c now I have a totally different outlook on these women and I do believe the plaintiff propositioned one of the women how do you have so many pictures of these women if you were there to either promote or be a guest at a party ???? Why would you pay the balance due on the deposit if the wrong women were sent to the club or lounge ? He’s definitely lying about a lot of things and his testimony was very sketchy 💯

I'm glad this changed your perspective! There are some bad apples but I danced from 18-21 and had two women mentor me through earning my BA degree. I wasn't smart enough with my money to buy a home (huge regret) but many girls had 2-3 homes by the time they were in their late twenties. Some women truly love the hours, flexibility to be with their kids during the day, go to school, and also it feels very empowering for people to PAY YOU to talk to them (happens more than you'd think)

You know he was disrespectful and making those women feel uncomfortable because he was acting like that In the court room that’s why the judge had to check him. And yeah strippers make money from tips the expectation when they go to a private party is you will tip them. If they aren’t making the money yes they will most certainly leave. Idk if you been to a private party with strippers but these women are super vocal and will literally tell you if you aren’t tipping enough. He clearly believed the $200 was enough because that’s what he stated in the courtroom. These women don’t get paid an hourly wage so if you book two hours and aren’t tipping they are not about to stay the whole two hours. And like the judge did he gave that man some of his booking fee back because that’s ultimately is why is fair.

@GetIntoTheBLACK
@GetIntoTheBLACK 2 жыл бұрын
Well he literally stated he didn’t care if the girls weren’t the same. His exact words “they told me they weren’t the same but I was okay with that” can’t agree to the change then get upset later. He had no proof they were on the phone texting the lady stated they were on the phone looking for music which is likely. Strippers tend to control their own music when people Its a private party because even at the strip club they choose their own music but theirs a dJ at private parties they act as their own dJ. Also the judge awarded him money for them showing up late. As for them leaving early when you book strippers the tipping is a major part of it. Strippers will stay later if you’re actually tipping seems like they weren’t tipping was touching money that hit the floor which is a big no no and then was being rude and disrespectful. Strippers are not required to stay the whole time if you’re providing an unsafe environment. I think the issue is most of you think you can have a private party and treat strippers like you do when yaw go to the strip club. Barely giving and money because you don’t have it. Difference is at the strip clubs there’s usually another guy who balances out the brokees.

I was incredibly disappointed in Judge Mathis uplifting the stripper industry. I grew up poor but folks where I lived always expressed the importance of honor, regardless of your economic status. When I was in college, I worked 4 jobs, took care of my baby, and sometimes had to walk to work. But no way no how did I ever feel tempted to do something which was morally corrupt. Like it or not, regardless of how "nice" a strip club is or isn't, a stripper is regarded not with esteem. The type of people who go there aren't there as gentlemen. It is not a noble profession, regardless of how Judge Mathis and the defendant attempted to talk it up. And yes, WHAT you do does matter in life. It's not good to be a gangster or thug, for example. That being said, I am glad he didn't speak cruelly to her, but he could have been respectful without uplifting a sordid profession.

@@c.j.dajuice9953 I understand what you mean. But the outcome isn't noble and the industry plays into what is already a problem in society - married men or boyfriends who instead of spending time with their loved ones, or taking their loved ones out on a date, investing time into their relationships, they're spending money at the strip club. No, not all strippers are desperate, but that still doesn't negate the fact that giving a stranger a lap dance or twirling on a pole for gawking guys isn't an honorable profession. Working in nightlife taught me that there is $$$ in makin sure a married/committed man with a boring life has a great time lol. @@c.j.dajuice9953 most respectfully, therein lies the problem - money obtained via an unhonorable way. I always taught my son be watchful how of how a person earns his/her money. It speaks volumes. Just because a stripper earns much money and goes on to open other businesses still doesn't make the job she originally did honorable. And even though it's a legal profession, it still doesn't dispel the fact that however long they did it, they were negatively impacting society. As a societal researcher, I have the utmost of compassion for those who shared stories with me how they did such work because they felt they had no other way out. They admitted they felt desperate and thankfully escaped from it. However, for those who gleefully told how they made dollars and even admitted some men would spend more on them than their family back home, I am disgusted. Like I always tell my friends and family, I would temporarily live on the street than sell my soul for a dollar. I have always lived my life with honor even when morally bankrupt folk tried to buy my allegiance at work, promising higher salary at a law firm. Never have sold my soul for a coin and as such God has blessed me miraculously. I may not be rich but I have something far more precious - being able to sleep at night, knowing I haven't taken a conscious or unconscious part in destroying families. May you be blessed always. He's right I don't speak to the help I speak to management. When a problem happened in the hemodialysis clinic where I was a facility administrator, and you wanted it solved discussing it with the technicians didn't change anything. The patients knew better. If you cater an affair and there's a problem speaking to the wait staff or cooks changes nothing, you need management. He is correct.

The Dancers should be tipped if their dancing is worth a tip. Tipping gives incentive for a good performance. Doesn't matter if they also write books or are good at other things. Dancing was what was expected and I believe his evidence was more persuasive than her giving absolutely no evidence.

It’s considered a profession, people pay to get into clubs and to see dancers. Why wouldn’t they deserve respect? Some people are comfortable with it and have great sex appeal. If it’s not hurting anyone then I don’t think they should ever be disrespected. People really weird ash.

I was totally on the Defendants side the whole time. A very good friend of mine a long time ago hired male entertainers serve drinks and perform routine dances at her event, but little did she know that her guests, the female ones, were talking beyond flirting with the men, causing them to opt out of the event hours before it was over, because they were uncomfortable with the guests. The Club didn't even bother to fight with my friend over payment, the owner just told her she can have it back and told her that her guests were "a bunch of b****es" for thinking that it was okay to grab the guys in their privates and lick their bodies without warning.

Because of the history of Africans being kidnapped and brought to the West and losing their identity, it basically means of African origins, its paying homage to the source.
