@@xiaouiris - Sadly Sakura Gakuin disbanded in August 2021. - 9:20 Song is Rondo Of Nightmare, you can find a safe to react version live at Budokan 2014, "kawaii metal" channel got it, don't miss out the Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro which is the Kami Band intro. - Babymetal Death crucifixion so far wasn't a big deal first time in Japan, since the main religion there is Shinto and Buddhism, but BM fans knew they took mainly Neon Genesis Evangelion super famous anime series imagery to represent this transition, you can find more of this "birth, death and rebirth" theme throughout their songs and live performance, is a recurrent theme, thou you'll see a couple of westerns reactors getting offended by this, those are minimal but yea there are some who don't get it. - About personal questions I'm totally with you but don't worry about it they've been doing this since they were little kids and as you can see if they don't want to answer something they will politely say _"OTFGK"_ 😉 lol You've been possessed by YuiMetal spirit.🥱😴 - Black Babymetal isn't a "comeback" system or something, is just a subgroup they formed since early era. Since you like Linkin Park and nu metal i recommend you "Onedari Daisakusen" live at Legend 1997. - Street Dance? Watch BxMxC live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 or Budokan 2021 - 49:30 Shanti Shanti Shanti and Oh! MAJINAI are songs from Metal Galaxy album and era so YuiMetal wasn't there and you already watch it live. After this there were some others news and updates here and there, like the new version of "The One" - Stairway To Living Legend, right before the hiatus and sealing the Metal Resistance chapter in October 10 last year. Later on this year in April 1 (official Fox Day) they announced their return with a new project and a BM side we've never seen before, that was called "The Other One" and launching an exclusive digital gallery platform with exclusive content for buyers such the snippets of their new songs in the upcoming album. After a year of hiatus they return with great news of 5 new singles (2 already out, 3 next year), live performance in January 28-29, and album release in March 24, later on they announced they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour as a special guests in April. Hope to see more of your reactions to this amazing group, and thanks once again for sharing this. See you next time beautiful megitsune. Kitsune up!🦊🤘❤️

Answering your questions :D 3:20 That's right, Sakura Gakuin has disbanded. That was probably also due to COVID, since it became difficult for them to conduct their usual activities with all the restrictions. 7:47 that song is "Rondo of Nightmare", one of Su's solo. THere is a really good an safe version on yt Live at Budokan 9:36 this one is "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!". There are several really good performance of it, but I would suggest you the live at Legend 1997 in 2013 :) 10:36 no controversy here, because it wasn't done with the intention of provoking. Few times was done only because it was cool, other times because it had the meaning of rebirth following the lore through out the concert! 14:19 this one is the remix of "Headbanger" they did at the beginning of the Legend 1997 show. This was the intro of the show, and look for "Avemaria + Headbanger Night of 15 mix" live at Legend 1997 :) 20:09 no, this is not the comeback, it's a different thing! It will be explained later why there are 2 members now 21:00 if you want to hear the heaviest BlackBabymetal song, I would suggest "SIs Anger"! There is a safe decent compilation video, or you can find the Tokyo Dome performance at the Reactor Resource channel! 27:06 I don't know if you read all the slides, but their choreographer Mikiko, wasappointed into the planning committee of the 2020 Summer Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. But the committee was later disbanded due to COVID. But she was also involved in the japanese part of the Rio closing ceremony. 49:35 Actually both "Oh! Majinai!" and "Shanti Shanti Shanti" were after Yui left, while Uki Uki Midnight and Catch Me if You Can where from when Yui was still in the band! 52:30 Babymetal fanbase as a whole is called "THe One", while the fans are called Kitsunes or Megitsunes if female, meaning Fox and Female Fox 59:11 the video isn't updated with last things that happened. They released 2 new singles, announced an arena show in Japan in January, announced a new album for March, and they are touring Europe supporting Sabaton starting from April 2023

@@xiaouiris If you decide to check out the Tokyo Dome performance of Sis Anger (which I would recommend because the compilation unfortunately doesn't do a very good job of showing the choreography), the reason why there's a big logo plastered over it on youtube is because it normally gets blocked for copyright. If you want to watch the version without the logo, there's a link in the description of the video. Just be aware that you'll have to edit your own logo over it afterward, or you can just use the blur effect in the 'Editor' tab after uploading the video to youtube.

very cool you listed all those for her. The Headbanger remix is awesome .I still like the original better but that opening of that concert with Avamaria playing and the girls presenting the neck brace was epic opening for a show. Gave me chills lol. of course the ending with BabyMetal Death and Su being crucified was even more epic. That whole show was awesome. It is the one of course used for the official Give Me Chocolate video and the original HeadBanger performance is so fun to watch.

Thank you for taking the time to do this reaction, I hope it was useful and fun to learn (more) about Babymetal. One thing I would add: Sakura Gakuin did exist to give the girls experience in singing, dancing, acting, modeling, etc. Babymetal has actually been in space ! Well, kind of, Babymetal had official Funko Pop figurines made about them. And 3 of them went to space. The video on KZfaq is: BABYMETAL IN SPACE ★ BABYMETAL宇宙飛行 Choreographer Mikiko's style was inspired by Japanese women and every day movements. She developed it after having trained in NYC and she noticed these dances aren't really made for Japanese women, Japanese women have their own strengths she wanted to accentuate. Babymetal had their own show at Wembley Arena on April 2nd 2016 it was my first show, even though I'm not from the UK. Babymetal was the first ever Japanese act to perform there, because one of their 'senpai' X-Japan, famous band from Japan, had to delay their show because one of them was in a hospital. I had a quick look around: Evanescence performed at Sonisphere in 2012, Babymetal in 2014. 46:12 I really don't understand this statement, I think something got lost in translation. If anything it was the US tour, not the Legend S show. I think if Yui will return to the spotlight it might be as actress, but that's just my personal opinion.

⚡ 💀 💕 All ten of Su's crucifixions have been in Japan. Less than 1% of the Japanese people identify as Christian, so there hasn't really been any major controversy about this. Most folks recognize that the theatrical themes of sacrifice and rebirth at those shows are not intended to be offensive. The cross symbol used the first time they did this at 'LEGEND D' in late 2012, was tied in with a story based on the anime 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'. That BABYMETAL Guide you watched was current up to April 20th, 2021. This was a little after the final Budokan concert on April 15th, their last show of 2021. They had a hiatus for a year, but are very much back on the scene now. In October 2022, they released 'Divine Attack - Shingeki', the first of five singles from the upcoming 10 track concept album 'THE OTHER ONE'. The album is due out March 24th, 2023. Each of the 10 songs will explore a different alternate world in the overall "Metalverse". They followed that up a few days ago with 'Monochrome', the second single from the upcoming album. There will be three more singles in January, February and March. BABYMETAL have a couple of big headlining concerts coming up on January 28th and 29th, 2023 in Japan. They will also be special guests on Sabaton's 'The Tour To End All Tours' for 24 shows in Europe from April 14th to May 20th, 2022.

I don't think we will ever get tired of watching this guide with those who are honestly interested in our favorite girls. I knew you would perk up a bit when they mentioned Kano was in the Shanti Shanti Shanti video. It is extremely sad Yui left. I would have really loved to see her dance to all these new songs as well. But Su and Moa have the talent and love for what they are doing to go on and still amaze us every single time. I am sure others will touch on the few other questions who had but as you know probably realize, BABYMETAL was never gone. They were hard at work on new music while the pandemic made it nearly impossible to do Live shows. And now we have been blessed with 2 new songs before the new year with more on the way. 🤘🦊🤘 Oh and one of the songs you were really interested to listen too was headbanger but a special techno type mix they did to open the Legend of 1997 concert. So look up "Headbanger Night of 15 Mix". It is a massively energetic start to the show. There is a long and short version. Try to watch the longer one that opens with bit of another song as they do some theatrical performance along with it first. 🤘🦊🤘 Oh and we are all the ONE. Individually we are Kitsunes. Update to this video since it's from mid 2021 is that BM went on hiatus near the end of 2021. They announced a Metalverse project in early 2022. Over the next 6 months they slowly released snippets of new music through a "restoration" project. In Oct, they counted down with a finished snippet of a new song everyday until the 11th when they announced a new album called The Other One to be released on 24 March, 2023. They also announced two shows to take place in Japan at the end of January. They will also be going on tour with Sabaton next year as well. They've also released two song called Divine Attack and Monochrome in the past month.

Welcome to the One. Babymetal fans are known as the ONE. As in One with the band. This is why at the end of their shows Su-metal will call out "We Are" and the fans respond with Moa "Babymetal". Kawaii but true. Moa has stated that it takes so many people to do a Babymetal show that she has referred to them as team Babymetal. The video guide ends with them announcing in the mysterious way the like, they're taking a break. They later would include a video filmed sometime when they did the 10 years of Babymetal shows. It's very moving for fans. Now after the break extended their break. Which they called sealed. Like many of us they were sealed away. Which felt like forever. Lucky for us. When they could they started working on a new album called the Other One. Since lockdowns weren't lifted just yet. They leaked snippets of the songs to us. Lots of speculation happened while they were on break. Like was that the end of them? Are they going to change the name of the group since they're not kids anymore? Folks forgot the name of the group had nothing to do with their age. You could say the genre they created isn't a baby anymore. However, Babymetal is a very recognizable name. You don't just drop it. And they didn't. They'll be 220 years old and still be Babymetal. They'll still be kawaii. They just are. They'll still be metal because Rob Halford told them to stay metal and they have. After performing with them he told them to stay metal. When lockdowns happened Babymetal posted this message. Stay Safe Stay Metal. A hint to everyone that what they were going to do. Now we have two songs from the new album. Divine Attack and Monochrome. Come January we'll have their first public appearance since the lockdowns. World feels like a better place already.

I agree about the inanity of the questions they get asked. On the other hand, it seems like this group is so heavily managed that they may only be allowed to discuss specific topics with the press. Seems like Japanese popular culture is much less intrusive about what their stars' personal lives are like. You just jumped into the deep end of Babymetal head-first, so I will try to answer some of your questions. When you asked "What song is that?", primarily we were seeing footage from "Headbangeeer!" and "Headbangeeer! Night of 15 Mix" the Night of 15 Mix was a J-Pop Techno remix performed at the beginning of the Legend 1997 concert, while the regular version was performed near the end. It is worth reacting to both versions from Legend 1997. So far you have reacted to post-Yui performances featuring the Avengers in her spot. The fan-base is called "The ONE" as Babymetal and the fans come together as ONE during concerts. The upcoming album is called "The Other ONE" and will be a concept album where each song represents a different alternate universe version of Babymetal. So far 2 singles have been released leading up to the album, "Divine Attack - Shingeki" and "Monochrome". The crucifixion scenes typically happened during special performances of "Babymetal Death". Watch the Legend 1997 performance. While some individuals do freak out a little when seeing this for the first time, it was really not a big deal at the shows, as they were usually in Japan where less than 1% of the population are Christian and it was taken as just cool stage theater. No offense was intended and in later years, they found other symbology to use other than the cross such as the ringed XX or MM for the Legend S and Legend M shows. The last thing fans got after 10 Babymetal Budukan was the video "The ONE - Stairway to Living Legend" which basically announced their haitus during the pandemic and a total media blackout until Koba started teasing "The Other ONE Restoration Project" which ended at 99% (the final 1% is YOU) and the release of Divine Attack - Shingeki. As you can see, there is so much history for such young Artists. 🤗 Kitsune Da-O! 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome to The Foxhole, that was a marathon! So far you've reacted to songs post Yui's leaving and you can basically tell early/Yui BM because they will be wearing tutu's. Sakura Gakuin disbanded in 2021 and were really marketed towards young girls and also acted as a way for Amuse to develop talent. Their profile has been greatly enhanced by BM's success and they actually have some pretty good songs and music videos, but that should not be a surprise given the talented performers, producers and staff at Amuse. FYI the song you "liked" @9:20 is "Rondo of Nightmare", the performance to listen to is "Rondo of Nightmare - Budokan Black Night" from 2014, it has a great intro from the Kami Band. @14:20 the song is "Headbanger Night of 15 Mix" which is an ironically mimed dubstep/Broadway version of the song Headbanger. They would perform Headbanger again in the same concert, Legend 1997, and that version can be found with a search on "Headbanger - Legend 1997". The crucifixion and auto da fe stuff is only controversial outside of Japan, but not very much. Remember Japan is not a Christian country and they are just borrowing imagery for their own lore and theatrical effect. The more shocking thing for some Japanese listeners are some of the lyrics which can be disrespectful and rude, but that gets lost on people who don't understand Japanese. Black Babymetal existed when BM were a trio and gave Su a chance to rest during concerts and then Su returned the favor allowing Moa and Yui to rest during Su's solos. Being able to mix things up like that gave the concerts variety. When Yui left it meant that BBM also ended. BM is now just Su and Moa and in 2023 they will be releasing an new album, they have already released two singles from it, Monochrome and Divine attack. You won't find much social media for BM. They have official BM accounts, but no individual accounts and the privacy of all involved is strictly protected. You can find some of Mikik Mizuno's personal, ie non-Amuse, dance work by searching on "Elevenplay". There is some ballet, street and Fosse influences. 2017/18 was tough for BM. It was speculated by fans that Yui had a back injury because of her "moon face" maybe being due to steroid treatment and some photos that might have shown a back brace under her costume. Anyway she could not tour due to "health issues" and then a couple of months after Mikio Fugioka died because of a fall. These events obviously are more important outside the context of BM, but they did put BM's future into question. Yui officially left BM in 2018 and has made no public appearances since, but she is still under contract with Amuse so there's some special relationship between her and Amuse and this keeps the speculation alive that she might return to BM or some sort of performing or even some behind the scenes role.

Excellent reaction, and thanks for doing the long guide... it's been a while since the last time! The interviewer was doing a fact check about BABYMETAL's Wikipedia entry statements. He wasn't being disrespectful with the girls and probably the questions were previously agreed. Well, BABYMETAL have been controversial since the first minute I guess. But because of their unorthodox formation, the dance aspect, their ages back then, the way they mix any music genre, etc. About the crosses thing... it actually bothers to some Christians (we have seen it even in reaction videos) but it was not intended. The guide already explained the symbolism. We (the fan base), plus BABYMETAL, already have a name: The ONE. 😁 So, welcome to The ONE and the Fox Hole!

They have two new singles out, a new album in March next year and they will be touring Europe in April next year with Sabaton, I got my ticket for the show in Stockholm. Original comment: Surprised to see you checking the guide already, but I'm happy you did. I think Su, Moa and Yui are very admirable considering their entire history and how much effort they put into everything. The fan base is called "The One". My favourite Black BABYMETAL song would probably be "GJ" because of the lyrics, but the others are good as well. Songs from their time in Sakura Gakuin are fun to check out too, especially "Mini-Patissier Miracle Patiful Humberger", make sure to pick a video with English lyrics! It had me crying from laughter.

I've checked the top 6 comments so I'll chime in as a resident nerd and babymetal fan. Your death in a black hole would be a lot of time dilation and getting ripped apart. From the outside it would look like you are standing still. But to be fair I can't remember all relativistic stuff since physics is only a interest for me and my job is programmer. I would guess from your perspective it will be slow, until you get ripped apart by the gravitational forces and i think at some point It'll get dark in your eyes since light gets sucked into the center of the black hole, away from your eyes. Please Physicists correct me if im wrong. Thanks for the recommendation I'll check epeca out once I know how to write their name :). Friends I've been trying hard to convert my friends to babymetal, even the metalheads don't like their music. At this point i give up, their loss. I grew up on linkin park, its so great. Metallica, limp bizkit, gun's and roses, scorpions, man 'o war, dragon force, eminem, dr. dre, cool savas, 2 pac and gentle man. I miss great music :(. where are the word smiths these days? screw auto tune or mumble rap. I want live music with live singing and great performance and feel their real emotion in the songs. And I feel since my childhood I finally found Babymetal and Feuerschwanz (german folk metal band) that scratch that itch :). Anyways KITSUNE UP! 🤘🦊🤘

Crucifixion is the traditional form of capital punishment in Japan, so there were no consequences as it wasn't seen as a religious moment; but I can't say that it wasn't meant to push buttons. This didn't say, but Su-metal admits she likes to have audiences react and say WTF after a Babymetal concert. What happened after this is Babymetal went on hiatus, but are now back. They have two shows in January, a new album in March, and are touring as a support act for Sabaton in Europe in April/May. They also have announced Fox Day 2023, which we expect a world tour as headliners will be announced. They have also dropped two new singles, Divine Attack and Monochrome (neither has any dancing) and we get three more between now and the new album

The Legend 1997 concert (year of Su-Metal's birth) is where you will find 3 of the most interesting BABYMETAL songs you commented on. The concert is a story of transformation from Idol to Metal. The musicians are actors pretending to play. During the 5 song encore the real musicians known as the Kami band perform. The Legend 1997 concert started with Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! Night of 15 mix (a techno-idol lip sync version of Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!) Another song you commented on was... Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (actually the real version) Another great performance you spoke about was... BABYMETAL Death! (This is usually performed at the start of their concerts but this special performance ended this concert.) So remember for these 3 songs react to the Legend 1997 versions. 🤘🦊🤘

For those of us who had followed the girls ever since Sakura Gakuin, know how strong the bond was between them. Most BM fans are still in denial that Yui won't be coming back (although there is always hope, right?). But SG fans support the girls regardless if they are doing BM or not as we support not only the group for our own sake, but for them individually as well. And many SG fans are often passionately protective of them as if they were their own little sisters. I for one am one of those, and I support Yui's decision and hope she is happy whatever she is doing now. We care more about their well being than the art they bring to us. I'm glad you watched this because it gives you insight on the formation of the group and how much adversity they had to overcome as teenagers in a genre completely foreign to them. I know you will continue on your Babymetal journey and hope you'd be able to continue to share your reactions with us while trying to avoid copyright blocks. Amuse is notorious with it as Japan has no fair use laws (at least to my knowledge, I'm no lawyer). Thank you for sharing what you can and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Babymetal spent a year working on a new album, and will release it in March 2023, as well they have a show in Japan coming up early 2023 as well as touring in Europe later after that. Babymetal only gets better over time, and I love their newer stuff. However, be careful with some BM fans, some can be overly dramatic seeing doom around every corner like how many though BM was ending after the 2021 shows. Some can be out right cancers to the fandom like the Yui cultists, who thing their sick devotion to her and their selfish desire for her to return is some kind of form of love, they have zero respect for Yui and only have their twisted desires and demands to control her. They are some of the worst in the BM fandom, and sadly you have many of them. Some blindly think The One is some kind of perfect fanbase, and though better and far less toxic than most, the elements that are toxic are insidiously bad from the Yuicultists to the ones that only like older BM songs because they don't like that the members are adults now, if you know what I mean.

@@xiaouiris I think in general its good. There is a very helpful core of people who deliver history and lore to just about every reaction video of Babymetal that comes along, and the reactor seems interested. I know fellow kitsune Jake Muller is in these replies as well, nd he's one of them. But please never hesitate to ask anything about Babymetal. You will get all the info you can manage. 😎 I see your questions have been answered by others, so I'll just say: please continue enjoying and reacting to Babymetal. They are truly what both the metal world and the world in general needs: (metalwise) a group where the metal is great, well written and completely original and (in general) a group with a positive message throughout both for kids and adults, where the girls were never sexualised (thank the Fox God) and everyone is welcome. And now you've seen the guide, you know the broad strokes of the girls journey. A common misconception is that they were showered with money, planted as headliners from day 1 and pushed to the top, no hard work required. Happy you already know better. Speaking of overly dramatic cancerous comments that spread hate, you should re-read your own comment. I don't want to go over every little thing. Having read it once, I already feel dumber than I was before. You're right about some of the comments but you're severely generalizing and greatly exaggerating. And you've offended me. As you can tell by my profile pic. I am in the YUI army. I wish Yui were back, I miss Kawaii metal, but I continue to support BM. I've been to 5 shows and only 1 with YUI. I buy everything. And if YUI does something I will buy that. I'm not telling you about me to exclude myself from you generalizations. I'm saying that most are like me. So before you attack someone else, please, try to understand where they're coming from. The one is a community drawn together by their love of BM. Since our friends don't understand. I took 3 buddies to see BM. They liked it alright. But they don't get it. Japanese bands, as well as Korean, have quite a few obsessed fans. And there's nothing wrong with that. But there is something wrong with attacking someone just because they have a different opinion then you. When you see something like that call them out for it. But don't act like that yourself. Before I leave a comment in support of BM I ask myself. Would BM members approve? Try that.

I feel that it is simply how big the cultural difference is. The crucify really does not means anything serious but a cool and fun show in Japanese market. So it's a subtle surprise to realize it can be controversial in the west. Japan has only about 1% of the population as Christianity. Most Japanese practice loosely in local Shinto. So a crucifixion scene is really just a show to look at from the local perspective. Or even like something from an animate scene, or like Santa or a fairytale for the locals. Of course Japanese will be able to relate and understand if westerners feel it is controversial from westerns' point of view. But probably wouldn't have thought it is a controversial thing at all from the local view point. And I guess most western viewers understand the cultural difference as well so nothing will escalate from it after all?

I don't know if it was mentioned in the slides but the song 'Starlight' is sort of a tribute to Mikio and Yui. The video mentions that Mikio had an accident while stargazing and Yui has mentioned in a blog or diary that she enjoys stargazing. A small part of the lyrics, in English, says 'makes us stargazers'. I would recommend you check it out when you can. Also check out their collabs with Judas Priest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dragonforce. And their song with Bring Me The Horizon. There's this channel called Dicodec that did a sort of breakdown of Babymetal's latest song 'Monochrome'. I would love to hear your opinion about that song and it's video. The visual part adds a whole other story and meaning to the song, depending on how you look at it.
