Growing up, I was always the bullied one in my group, so I always related to Ehren. Ehren is also one of the most sympathetic to everyone. The way he always congratulates new members after they finish a stunt, or holding Dark Shark’s hand during the spider bit. He has such a huge heart despite being picked on so much. Seeing him getting his due makes me so happy. And seeing him on here more often and seeing people in the comments so their love is so awesome.

Hope I don’t get flamed for this but I hope Steve-O continues working on not interrupting/interjecting - I see it especially with the Jackass crew episodes and would really like to hear their full thoughts before they get interrupted sometimes. No hate, I love the podcast Edit: Just want to reiterate that I love the podcast. Despite the criticism, I enjoy Steve-O and have since the early Jackass days, especially the Wildboyz days. Love the podcast, hope to see it continue to grow and thrive. Also, as others have pointed out, Scott makes such a great co-host. Super rad podcast, big fan!

I agree with you, but I think it's the ADHD of his personality. I don't think he really does it on purpose. I think he just gets so excited to tell his part that he can't wait. Totally agree with you though, I adore the podcast and I have so much love for Steve-O. I say this as a person who suffers hardcore from ADHD, it's REALLY friggin hard not to interrupt when you're excited. Ehren is right. Steve-O wasn’t able to get sober alone which is why he believes all that 12 step stuff. Like ehren said, ANYONE is able to do it, you just have to be strong enough. I got sober after years on opiates without going to sober livings, or meetings. I actually felt like I wanted to use more at meetings bc I had to hear stories for an hour of people using. I found that I needed to mute all that stuff and live a normal life: I’m glad Steve got sober but I personally don’t like how he always tries to push that you can’t get sober without that 12 step crap. Anyone can get sober if you really want it, and really try. Great podcast! 👍🏼

i can see that some people might need that structure/accountability to get sober, but there's an equal amount of people that don't need it. i'm 60 days sober from a 20+ drink per day alcohol habit and don't think meetings would help - it would be redundant. i already wanted to get sober for months, more than anything, but the withdrawals kept me stuck where i couldn't function without drinks. when i finally got medical assistance/supervised withdrawal to quit safely (seizures are a major risk with alcohol), i was able to break the cycle no problem. like you said the biggest thing is having the desire and determination to get sober. trying to live a normal life and spending meaningful time with family, friends, pets has been the best longer term treatment. that being said, i understand that there are people that may lack the determination or good relationships with family/friends, and meetings may help those people. whatever it may be: if it works for you, keep doing it!

I've always felt that the way NA/AA hammer it into people that you are completely powerless to your addiction is not only absolute bullshit, but also an extremely dangerous and detrimental mindset to be instilling into vulnerable people. Understanding the power you have over your thoughts and actions is perhaps one of the most important things that you will ever learn as a human being, and NA/AA totally strips that away from you.

It’s two different schools of thought and that’s fine. Steveo is AA sober and the cornerstone of that is you can’t do it by yourself, that’s how I got sober too, it worked for me and I’m glad it did, but the same things don’t work for everyone.

As a person in long term recovery 11+ years, and a former sobriety mentor of 6 years at several treatment centers, I think Steve-O discounts Ehren's sobriety story, not everyone is meant for lifelong recovery, and also the statistics show that a large portion of the population just decide to quit on their own like Ehren did, there is not a single path to recovery. Its great that AA works for Steve-O but I worked with a lot of folks that could not relate with that program. I personally spent a lot of time in meetings, but after a while I grew apart from them, last time I went to a meeting for myself and not a former client was nearly 10 years ago. Self Improvement and recovery does not only happen through AA, there are many routes to this.

Don't say that everybody can do it, but I don't like his attitude disregarding any argument in which you are capable of quitting by yourself. He got over the addict part but not the "being full of himself" part. Steve-O thinks he's hot shit and is a complete sell-out, he's a walking/talking billboard for products to make money. I understand he never made his money back in the day and is making up for it now but it's just so shameless. Maybe it's not really worth judging considering people need to make a living. I also just wish he had a little more respect for people rather than competitiveness. He has a hard time sharing the spotlight with anyone, or also allowing someone to take the spotlight.

For those who haven't seen it, look up Raab Himself's podcast interview with Ehren. It was the very first time where people were going "Okay, he's way different from the way he's always portrayed in the series and movies." I love how Ehren detailed on how he ans Steve-O bonded when in a plane flying from India where they filmed Jackass Number two. And Ehren going "So, tell me about yourself." Because other than having worked with Steve-O on Jackass the TV show and the first Jackass movie, they didn't really hang out.

Last night I watched one of your podcasts from awhile back, as a fan of yours I’m trying to watch them all, and even some a few times! Y’all were in the Bus too, and I thought to myself one day that Bus is gonna roll thru the Loves Truck stop I work at, and I swear to god I walked out of the shop towards the store for lunch and there your bus was, literally 8 hours after I had this thought, I was hoping to see you so I could say hey but the bus seemed empty to me, it’s just crazy to me how I thought about that at like 3am and at noon the same day your tour bus rolled up at my work in bum fucked nowhere East Tennessee! Totally bummed didn’t get to meet you but was stoked to see the bus! It is so much more gnarly in person!!

Love your podcasts man, and you’re a huge influence on me with sobriety and everything.. but I just have to ask, why with all the ads and sponsors Broski? Don’t you have the means to invite your guests, and create your content without the help or other people backing you financially? Like the first sponsor for this video, to help quit smoking… like come on man. We all know you quit all that garbage years ago… why push that stuff on other people when you don’t have to? Just a question man. Still love your work tho man! Keep it up!

Come on, you get the content yourself, it also costs money to produce a podcast. You can just fast forward through the ad. I feel people nowadays don’t see the value in anything anymore and just want stuff for free. He also needs to think about his retirement probably at 70 when he can’t do any of this shit anymore

That quote came from the skit with which he won the respect from the hardcore cast members, such as Bam. "Blindfolded skateboarding" where he jumped from a vert ramp and broke his arm in two places. Ehren once said "Danger Ehren isn't really all that dangerous, he's a pussy really." But he still does the gnarliest stunts, so he's being harsh on himself.

I agree with ehren, i got sober 100% on my own. No support group or rehab. I left where I was living went through withdrawals and after that I never wanted to do it again I just wanted to move on with my life. Not everyone has to have this big thing. My biggest thing was it was hard to get sober were i was living. It just was. I couldnt escape it so I moved states where i didnt know anyone and just havent looked back. I'm 6 years sober.

He's not only doing that but he's constantly preaching and it's good every once in a while but it does get to be too much. Couple years sober. Don't know how long, don't really care; haven't been counting. I was an alcoholic, I was on crack/meth, tobacco, taking various pills multiple times a day and just anything and everything else I could get my hands on... SteveO has always been a big inspiration to me, but I couldn't disagree with him more on it being impossible without a group. That was actually quite off putting to me, how dogmatic he was on that. You don't need a group. You don't need anything. You are powerful, and you can do anything you want.
