Jones won't fight someone he doesn't hold a distinct advantage over. Gane can't grapple, Stipe is old, and light heavyweights were too small. He didn't look nearly as dominant fighting guys ACTUALLY his size. He almost lost to Dominick Reyes 🤣.

The UFC should put Jon against a young fighter. If Jon wins, he adds to his legacy as the goat. And if Jon loses, it does not tarnish his legacy. However, if he loses, it will allow the young fighter to build off that fight and also be great for the UFC. That’s a lot of words to say, “Jon needs to fight Tom.”

No, stop it! Everyone has been saying what should be happening is 1. Jones v Aspinall and 2. Pereira v Ankalaev… THEN we can have a SUPER FIGHT! Stipe hasn’t fought since 21. He is not Jones. He can’t come off from a huge hiatus and put on a decent performance. If Stipe fights Jones it’d be Ciryl Gane all over again! 😤

The more damage a fighter sustains and suffers the quicker their down fall. I don’t think Alex’s UFC career has ever seen a full 15-25mins of fighting.

The hype would be cool, but there's no way anyone who could cut to make the smaller of the four weight classes beats the guy who's good enough to win the title at the biggest of the four weight classes. If you can make featherweight, you could win the lightweight title (like Conor did), but that guy isn't beating someone who has the middleweight title. That's asking someone who can make 145 to beat the best 185-pound fighter in the world. At that level, in today's mma, there's no way!

They are saying like Jan and Izzy got Pereira on the floor and did something about it. Nothing happened to him on those fights when he was put on the ground. He was dominated, maybe, but he took no damage. The way to a wrestler win against Pereira is keep him on the ground, drag the fight and maybe win by points, like Merab did with Jose Aldo. It just takes one kick in the face to be knocked out and DC is the proof of that.

As good as Alex perrera is, he does not deserve a title shot against JJ at heavyweight unless he fights a contender first. Tom Aspinal is first IMO so Tom deserves the fight with JJ next and if anything ahead of Stipe. Who ever loses gets Alex then he could challenge JON people are skipping around with their ideas and not giving the credit to Aspinal that he deserves. What is the point of the interim belt otherwise?

That’s the point every actual fan of the sport that isn’t also a WWE fan is trying to say. Of course if your Jon you want pereira but Jon’s whole heavyweight has been who he wants to fight and he’s avoided the only guy with a belt. He avoided stipe for how many years ? I think heavy weight and light heavy weight wrestling is less important. That’s the last skill. I look at Ngannou when he lost to Stipe it was cause of wrestling but that rematch came quickly cause we knew he had a big chance. Francis vs Gane, #Ngannou needed the basics to win. They don’t need to be black belt up there, it’s about power. Which is why Francis vs Jones would be fight of the century cause they have to respect each other at every second. That fight would need to happen 2/3 times for us to have a clear champ

He’s better off fighting Jones than Aspinall. Jones is a bigger fight and Aspinall is heavier and it’s easier to lay on him. Jones will submit him or let him up.

At this point jones picks the easiest fights with the biggest payday. Some people think he's scared of tom or this and that. He ain't scared because he never lost. Of course he'd fight alex if he could choose. Who wants to work harder for the same money?
