When hes talking about the cast, he calls them all by their real names but refers to Glenn as Dennis... lol

I don't know about "becomes Frank." More like he seamlessly transitions between Frank and Danny so repeatedly that you don't know whether he's coming or going.

Just imagine this as a Always Sunny Episode and Frank is just drunk saying all of this to a lamp that's off camera.

This is totally surreal. You almost forget it's Danny. It's like it's actually Frank speaking. So cool.

Lol, sitting around a campfire telling stories with this man would be a trip.

He just sorta zoned into Frank, might not even realized it was happening at first. you can tell by how he transitioned talking about the actors then the characters. Frank just consumed him. Shows how committed he is to the role!

I love how he defends frank by saying he's not selling opiates

So did Danny DeVito just wander onto set one day and acted like this and they just rolled with it?
@billthecat66610 жыл бұрын
If you watch Danny on It's Always Sunny, there's this ease he has with being in the show. Like being a funny character to him is as easy as tying his shoes.

What I don't understand is why people cite this interview as being somehow off kilter. I think Danny made PERFECT sense, I had no trouble when he was referencing his character and when he was referencing his own personal opinions. The guy is right. That sort of shit goes on today, war profiteering, etc. His character started out as a satire of that (but evolved). Love DD as an actor.

I love it so very much that Danny is this into the show. It makes me happy on a daily basis. Sunny is beyond awesome.

He's absolutely right about the afghan poppy fields. No coincidence that america is filled with cheap heroin 11 years after invading afghanistan. Its like Frank Lucas and Vietnam. Cause and Effect

This is great. I wondered how Danny DeVito got so far away from himself to "become" Frank Reynolds. It's cool to see his process.

I am so fuckin confused... not sure if he's acting and and breaking the fourth wall by calling the actors by name and referencing the characters, or if he's actually been to Vietnam in a sweatshop or if he's referencing the Aluminum Monster vs. Fatty Magoo episode.

That's probably the funniest show on television today! I KNOW there are cool and precious things in the sewers!

The industry needs more actors like these, to not only love their role, but to live and breathe as if their role IS their life. I can see why so many DeVito fans would be so messed up by this interview if they haven't seen the show, they'd think he had a personality disorder!
