Finally Darksiders is coming to the Genesis.

The most underrated series in the history. In my opinion it has one of the best lore. People should give this give a little more appreciation.

Darksiders 4 must come. Cause we need to play as Strife in 3rd person as all the other darksiders games

A little update for those wondering if they should buy the game over a year later: 1. They fixed most if not all the collision issues 2. You can now see enemy outlines behind enviorments, making it mucuh easier to orient yourself with the top down camera 3. Bugs and glitches , the few that were, have been fixed. So, yeah, most of the main issues the game had have been fixed and its a solid 9/10 right now

Just of the surface and the few dialogue scenes shown, makes me think of what a Cable & Deadpool game would be like.

This is IGN’s highest rated Darksiders game, I believe. This is the first time a game in the series got the respect it deserved.

I like Strife's character. He's chill and funny. The dynamic dialogue between him and War is pure gold. Might be my favourite Horseman out of the 4.

Maybe the greatest coop game I’ve ever played. Rich story, Vicious combat, talent sphere grid, AMAZING lvl design, A+ Voice acting and Art, everything from the drawn animation scenes to the fully rendered ones. This game is definitely a Gem. If your even slightly thinking about getting this game because you liked darksiders...GET IT. One warning though. You SHOULD have a friend couch coop OR online friend and be voiced up. The dungeons are challenging. Enjoy.

wont lie as a fan of the series the new direction kind of put me off and as such i have barely followed this game at all, however hearing it still feels like the old games despite its new direction well......you have my attention

I think all the ppl hating on 3 should try it now with all the patches and the new "old" control scheme and combat flow. I was not thrilled at first but thanks to work Gunfire put into it I grew to love it almost as much as first two. I love this series and want to see it finally get the props it deserves! This game looks right up my alley and w/ couch co-op I couldn't be more thrilled to have my lil brother move back closer to home! Airship Syndicate really killed it with Battlechasers and this looks even better!

Ok I was really worried about this games execution, but the fact that it’s so world friendly and can jump from platform to platform. Yeah I really like it.

I love that they deliberately made the series so it can pretty much go in any direction it wants. There's no reason that there can't be a shoot 'em up spinoff for example based on the flying horse segments from Darksiders 1.

I wonder if they changed the camera angles to avoid turning this game into a First/Third person shooter. Not that I'm complaining since I love games like Diablo and will probably check this game out as well when it comes to the Switch

They should have done the seamless split screen I have seen in other games, where the two screens unite when the two characters are in eachother's vicinity.

My buddy beat it and just gave it ro me i burned out on this series but i like this new direction! Looks awesome! Time to install it lol i wasn't sure it was worth my time... glad i was wrong! Awesome review brother!

I wish this had the camera angle that darksiders 2 had. Darksiders 2 was the best one they made.

I really wish they would of made one the horseman pestilence. Like grotesque and toxic type moves. Maybe powers that call up insects and acid or poision that stuns enemies with sickness. Would of been a cool mix to the four I think

I'm enjoying this game. I'm going to try to play through Darksiders 3 again because I like this game and the characters so much.

Hats off to Airship syndicate, here's hoping for a Darksiders 4 and a continuation to the cliffhanger of the first game.

Dark siders series, is underrated! Alot better than so many games with lost directions or new ips. Death stranding, assassins creed series or battlefield are some of them.

I absolutely LOVE the darksiders series but I was disappointed by Darksiders 3 however this game seems REALLY promising, gonna play it today hopefully

I wish there's a way to zoom in the camera so that it feels immersive. I enjoyed ds2 mostly due to the camera angle and the fact you can control it. If the final game doesn't zoom in to the action, I'm afraid I might not get it. I do have to admit this is the most polished Darksiders game in terms of graphics and gameplay. If the camera can be zoomed so the characters don't look so tiny, that would be great

Would be better if I had a thousand-inch TV I guess..and if it had tutorials so I could follow all the convoluted gameplay. Where's the wrath meter? Is that the meter that comes up during a Strife hotstreak? Is it the yellow meter below the health bar? Is it both? How do I perform a wrath ability? Why doesn't the 'synergy' ability I bought work? It says hold (x) [PS4] when synergy meter is full. Ok. Did that. Nothing happened. I just jump, because (x) is the jump button. Holding (x) while synergy meter is full does nothing. So how do I *REALLY* use the synergy ability?

This game is great... Totally... If only we can adjust the camera though when we are free... I would really wish to look at Strife in close up. Especially that Anarchy Form of his. I have all other 3 in close up seems the other 3 games feature the third person view.

Now we need Darksiders game like Battlechasers. That was one of the best turn-based games ever

My only gripe about the game is the map. It doesn't show where you are when you bring it up if you are trying to locate something or loose track of the direction you need to go. Being able to control the direction of the camera would be a nice added addition. All in all Darksiders Genesis is a pretty enjoyable game.

I would've preferred a open-world type of format for this style of game, especially since past games in the series were like that. There's frankly too many isometric games like this in cramped, linear dungeons with merely segmented open areas.

Wow this is the best reviewed Darksiders game to date beating out 1,2 & 3's IGN verdict score wow i can't believe it, i wonder if Darksiders had started like this instead of the 3rd person style maybe it would have been more successful.

I just bought this game.... and, it's awesome. However, I gotta say there are a few gripes. The control is a little wonky when climbing up walls and having to jump from one hanging object to another. I don't like having a zoomed out camera angle ALL the time. In DS 1, you were in a close up view of War. You didn't feel away from the action or tiny. The camera angles make the game harder than it should be in some areas because it's hard to judge distance when jumping from one platform to the other ( you have to be sure and look at the shadow under your character to know where he's gonna land). This becomes tedious when having to quickly navigate across fast falling platforms. I'm only on the 5th part of the game, but I have to say one thing I'm not feeling is that a lot of the enemies don't take stun damage. They just stand there and absorb your attacks. Doesn't really evoke a feeling of power from the player. You're one of the 4 horsemen, everything around you should not be taking damage from you like it's nothing. Lastly, the 4 horsemen: Death, War, Pestilence*, and Famine* should all have unique powers that go with their names/titles. War is the only one I see that seems to fit his title. "Strife" should have some sort of power to make things wilt or die just by his very being. Fury should have had some sort of swarm of locusts, or ability to allow her to make things sick. I dare say Air Ship Syndicate (Vigil Games) missed some great opportunities and sort of downplayed these iconic personalities. All in all, these are somewhat minor gripes. So far, I give this game a solid 7.5. Update: i finished the game a few weeks ago. The "puzzles" in this game... absolutley atrocious. They're not hard based on intelligence, they're hard ... based on busted control and trial and error. They are mind blowingly tedious and irritating. They alone make me bring the game down to a 5.5. The ending to the game was a little abrupt for me. But thats just me.

The game is amazing, but the insane amount of bugs, plus the fact that playing with a keyboard makes it quite frustrating, i just quit at chapter 5... will go and try the I and II, since its more keyboard friendly.

I never had a problem with the camera obscuring enemies. You can generally just relocate yourself and they will follow.
