Well I would disagree with the statement he asked could he turn to the families and apologize. She said she don’t think they are ready for that right now. With that being said he was never going to apologize and he’s never going to admit anything. remember In America you have appeal rights. If you say sorry to the families and admit to the crime in your first trial. The court of appeals will immediately throw your claims out. You must not admit to anything. In his mind he has a chance at appeal so he’s not going to say anything to further incriminate himself on the chance that he can get off on a mistrial or something of that nature. I know people don’t like to hear that but it’s our American legal system they give an appeal to the most sinister criminals out there. In offering that right they have the right to deny all allegations pending appeal.

Not for everything he did. He was arguing that that time served should be counted against the last charge, which was misdemeanor battery against his ex girlfriend. Which had a short sentenced. You’re right! He’s done so many horrible things and committed felonies, yet due to their laws he could get out and/or post bail. It will probably take a few years, but I wish I could be a fly on the wall when reality sets in that he’s never getting out. 😊

A psychologist once told me that narcissists are "exhausting to deal with". I'm trying to watch this 10 minute video, 3 minutes in I have already paused it several times. I have the deepest sympathy for the victims of this guy. Having to go through loss, shock, grief and all the other emotions his crimes caused, while being *in the room with him* for DAYS, having to listen to his antics. I hope they can recover some day.

@@celebratelife8436 I'm gonna piggy back off what Nicole said. She's correct and it's also so no one can say it was unfair and a mistrial can happen. Even on cases of the obvious guilty like Brooks here any unfairness in the trial could be grounds for mistrial.
