Scorpion has always been a staple of the Mortal Kombat franchise, and it has been so much fun watching AVirk13 highlight intricacies and fun ways to play him. Watching Scorpion played at a high level is truly a spectacle to behold.

Oh yeah, being my favorite character in all of MK since my uncle introduced me to the original game in the franchise back on Sega Genesis and I have been looking for some good ways to improve with my favorite hellfire specter ever since the game released but, haven’t found any so, these tips from the best Canadian Scorpion player should definitely help

Really great video! This has exactly the kind of information I needed to improve more and learn how to make better variations for Scorpion! I feel like a fool I didn't even realize hell port cancel could move you away across the stage I thought it was just like an animation cancel, I definitely see why it's so good now!

It’s kinda crazy how virk has come as an competitive player as a streamer just everything over all i met virk for the first time at a stream and even played with him almost beat him but I accidentally turned off my ps4 and ended up losing I really do doubt he remembers but I was one of the first people to recommend him to start streaming and used to be one of his mods for a short period

I get what you mean but I dont think its crazy. sonicfox, ninjakilla daigo, tokido they all started in local arcades or online playing casually. every pro was crap at the game they mastered at one point :)

Random tip: If you use dark soul, the enemy will want to punish. But if you use falling ashes, because it has good frame advantage that you'll get a free kb

I'm very used to the searing rage variation so I started trying the hellport variant and it does take some getting used to.

For some reason at the moment i cant time hellport or spear before the sin blade. So i tried to incorporate a different way to use sin blade and use it wake up punish combo start. For example i knocked my opponent down i time the jump just as they get up land the sin blade they obviously launch then i start the combo. You guys think this good? Also another way you can use B2 without worrying of being punished or using hellport is if you land the sin blade you can easily use B2 into spear, etc..

I even chose the same Classic MK Scorpion avirk uses. That F3 stagger is a great pressure tool. Cause they always think im going F3, 4 then I go F3 to command. grab. If they duck I go b4 overheard 😂😂. Avirk you legend!!! Any tips on how to control pressure from the Lui Kangs?

It's good, you have plus frames if you cancel b14 into stance cancel, but tp cancel way better for him

@@rileyfreeman4096 Do you have hellport cancel equipped in that variation you picked? For regular teleport cancel. You input down back 3 and have to keep holding down, right? if you want to cancel to go far away you have to input down back 3 and TOWARDS the enemy. So if you stand left its “down left 3 right” immediately. “right” has to be held down immediately after down left 3.

@@_kqcper_332 he’s the easiest to learn but hard and complicated to win with in high levels. He’s basic and has nothing but 1, 2s and that’s a boxing term not the button inputs. Reborn is the safest and the rest of his abilities require Good patience and game knowledge to play with

Ion know why scorpion isn't a top tier character,with someone who knows how to play him they're basically gonna get a minimum of 30% damage if they touch you and have meter.Thats pretty much a fatal blow everytime he touches you.i fcking hate this character

Just go full screen. Spam your hook until opponent moves or jumps, teleport and do that cheap stupid combo. That's what 100% of scorpions I ever encounter do.

Mortal kombat fighting games are trash nowadays due to the input system being bad, got to push way too many buttons to do combos, and half the time the combos or commands don't work smh.

Inputs are perfectly fine for me. I would recommend u go in ur controls and turn off input shortcuts and release check. It fucks with it.
