What a hunt! Everything about it was just simply awesome. The buck following the doe, the sound of the crunching in the leaves, his deep grunt, The way he walked in slightly quartering too, you waiting till he was almost out of the frame but at a perfect angle, following him at full draw, the sweet shot, the way he stopped and stood there, the growl as the lethality hit him, and then the sound of a old, mature warrior crashing in the leaves and dying hard...... this type of experience is why we do it. The flashbacks was an awesome video edit as well. Excellent, excellent, excellent hunt.

My younger daughter used to hunt with me on occasion. I loved letting her do the blood trailing and she wasn't the slightest bit squeamish.

Thank you, for not attempting to stop him with a grunt. That is one of the dumbest things and biggest mistakes I see hunters make when a deer is under 20 to 25 yards. Congrats.

Nice 10 point buck there it's a nice shot placement too it's going to feed you and your family for about a year if not at least 6 months God bless

I swear, I think deer can see a scent stream ? Maybe it's just with thier nose following scent trail from ground up the tree and then they look right at ya ? They are amazing creatures.

thanks nick for not acting totally crazy after that shot. ok to be nervous. but to act like a clown is weird and bazaar ,,, if u r a hunter i mean all of you, please contain yourselves . ty richard ps when some hunter comes along wearing sandles and shorts, i will block his hunt. this bs of going afield and trying to impress people , is not ethical at this sacred sport THANKS AGIN
