On the Stihl products you mentioned turning the screws all the way in and backing them out 1.5 turns as a beginning. Here you mention turning ? a screw three times?

Always found a complete carb was easier/faster to get than individual pieces.

I have the same chain saw and it is in need of the same nozzle that you said you were able to cross reference. I would like to know how you were able to cross reference the part? What part did you order? It is impossible to find this carburator on the internet any more so I'm in the position of buying a new one or adapting as you did.

I have one exactly like that in my shop. Doing the same thing. How many turns out on the low and high jet?

@@alanosborne1816 probably has a limiter to keep it from destroying the engine if too much kraken is released. You can remove the limiter

Easy starters but weak power wise. Usually the oil pump is the weak point. Boat anchors maybe?

I worked on one of these for a friend at work. What a mistake! You have to split the cases and remove the handle on one side just to get at the fuel lines. I tried to fish them through with wire first but no bueno.

The one I worked on had a Zama C1Q carb. It was very temperamental to tune after I finally found a needle that would seal against the seat and not flood the engine.

Did you ever realize that the carb cover was missing so you are sucking in unfiltered air.
