I can't help but think if Chandler was truly innocent, sitting there listening to what happened to his parents would be heartbreaking and emotional for him. @@bumblebaa2327 You know I wondered if he murdered his father before he was confronted. After Bart called this college and pretended to be Chaz I wondered if he realized the full extent of the lies or not. I speculated that this was not the case and that Bart wanted to give Chandler a chance to come clean on his own before they drove to that school meeting. We will only know more in this regard after we will hear Barts call. The prosecution said that after the call Bart texted to his son "I spoke to X" and pointed out that Chaz likely didn't know who X was. But I'm sure he googled X's name and there you'll find the Linkedin profile, customer service rep at Madison College. So Chaz was alarmed till then and knew regardless that he could not accompagny his dad to a school meeting or his double life would unravel. I wondered (if my theory is correct) if Bart & Krista might still be alive had he confronted his son immediately after said call. So I'm really curious to hear the tape.

Except when he claimed that the prosecutor "didnt mean to imply the defense was lying" (comitting a felony) in the courtroom......when the prosectuter literally said exactly that.....word for word. It should have been a mistrial, but this judge unethically finagled things. Now the prosecutor will likely do it again and get a murderer released one day. Judge should have had the honor to just let the statement be what it was, if not sanction the prosecutor outright. They could have re-tried this 1000 times and still convicted Chandler.....but that might not be the case next time.

The weight is technically the same, but a living person will do things to “assist” with moving them, even if against their will. Think of it this way, a living person can hold on, grab, wrap their legs, bend their joints to make it easier to pick them up and move them. But a dead person just lays there. Limbs hang straight down and won’t grab on to you. The weight just hangs straight down. The saying is “dead weight is heavier than living weight” because a living person is simply easier to move in all regards.

I seriously doubt the prosecution offered. Plea. Chandler halderson had the option of pleading guilty to all charges or going to trial. If he pled guilty, his sentence would be life without a chance of parole. At trial there is at least a chance for a not guilty or a hung jury/mistrial. It makes no sense logically to plead guilty because the punishment is a life in prison. In this type of brutal crime and the plethora of evidence, the prosecution would never offer a plea to a lesser charge. They feel very good about their chance to get a conviction

This is bringing back memories of many many years working in superior court. I was a courtroom clerk (the one next to the judge). Listening to the pathologist gave me flashbacks of some pretty horrible pictures I saw. Most people don’t know but when there are such horrible photos there is usually a meeting in the judge’s chambers with both council, the clerk & court reporter where all the pics are viewed and it is decided by the judge which pictures will be allowed to be shown to the jury. If they are too disgusting or too gory they will not be seen by the jury or placed in evidence, however we see them all.

@@barbaramcmillan3835 "and all the evidence must be presented at the trial." As I said before, she presented no evidence whatsoever. She didn't present any evidence, therefore there was no point in calling her to the stand again. "They can't just send out a few more questions for detectives to investigate while they're deliberating." What questions? Questions about everything they _didn't_ find and where they _didn't_ find it? Those aren't legitimate questions for a jury to be asking anyway. If a hypothetical find that a jury member may be speculating about hasn't been presented as evidence from an actual find, then it goes without saying that there was no find, or at least not a find that was legally presentable as evidence. Again, a jury's job is simply to consider the presented evidence, not to question the investigators.

Somehow the defenses questions aren't helping Chad. To emphasize quantity of wounds and homicide with mutilation in no one refects innocence of her client or less cruelty. Horrific crime. No evidence supports participation of others or other victims as far as that goes.

for real. it makes no sense for the defense to question the order of the gunshots unless the defense was based around them happening in a specific order. and questioning why it said "at least 3" just drew attention back to the dismemberment and how it could've been even worse than we know. and the question about whether the dismemberment happened while Bart was alive or not? first of all, the prosecutor already asked that and got the answer, and second of all, how is that supposed to help the defense unless the defense's argument is, "yes, he shot his father at least 3 times, but at least he waited until he was dead to chop him up"?

It seems to me that they’re trying to exploit the gaps in what they know. They questioned why they used the term “at least” in terms of gunshot wounds because they’re trying to show that there isn’t a certainty in terms of what happened. It’s a very weak angle, but it’s all they’ve got haha

The title of this video says Part 2, and there's no opening slides, so where's part 1? Unless it is just Day 6? EDIT: I think I found it, the first part just says Day 6, with no Part 1 in the title. So many technical errors in this coverage.

The defense isn't disputing any of the stuff happened. So far, there's been no proof that Chandler killed them. There's circumstantial evidence that he tried to get rid of the corpses, but no proof of murder. I think that's going to be the defense.
