How did she allow the overly emotional unprofessional cop to testify? That by the way can also backfire and be used on appeal or on reversal. At least three of the¨cops¨ witnesses were overly emotional and exaggerated. Those testimonies can and should be nullified(especially the one that looked like he was pretending to cry). An investigative cop crying on the stand is an obviously null testimony, they show complete and absolute bias and are very likely untrue.

What in the insane clown posse is going on in this courtroom? I have never seen a case like this, where the judge doesn't make decisions, but instead takes over the questioning herself, let alone where they never "approach the bench" to discuss issues directly with judge rather that playing musical chairs with the jury needing to leave "for 5 or 10 minutes" every time questions for the judge arise. I'm about ⅔ through this video and between the judge "teaching" the defense how to do her job and the defense attorney talking in circles, whining at every opportunity, and seemingly being confused and ill prepared about the evidence, I am not sure if I should risk my sanity by watching the rest!😵😵‍💫🤯

What's w/the incessant HACKING from the audience throughout the trial? It's disgusting! You'd think some people feel it's a right of passage to cough as loudly as possible so they can drown out what's being said. If people cannot conduct themselves accordingly in a courtroom, stay home! This isn't sick bay! Where were these people raised, anyway? In a barn?!

@wren3895
@wren3895 4 ай бұрын
I really don't think she understands how proceedings work. She's objected to things just because she doesn't like them. There are no legal grounds. She also objects to leading the witness (while not using correct phrasing to say that) while asking leading questions herself. I've seen the prosecutors laughing at her tactics several times and I've face-palmed multiple times myself. She wants to prove that more was going on in the home than the evidence shows, and that the defendant was being manipulated by her son, however, she isn't doing well to showcase that. She's extremely repetitive and shrill to the point of acting like a teen girl who was told she couldn't go to the school dance. It's embarrassing to say the least.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to be a mom and have to see footage of your own son. The school had a duty. They failed. Hindsight is always 20/20 and we can always retroactively judge parents for being different or less than. Tbh, she may have actually, been there for her son, more than some who externally appear to be successful and "good parents," for no other reason than that they can throw money, vacations and privilege at their kids.

So Ethan Crumbley wrote in his journal a couple of times that his parents wouldn’t get him mental health help, and that they didn’t care about him or how terrible he felt. Did he testify during his sentencing that he really believed that, or was that said falsely as part of his psychosis? Did he ever say that to his counselors at school, or friends at school? Do you believe that just because he wrote it in his journal, that it is true? Or did he write that during one of his psychotic episodes? Can that ever be proven? If it can be proven that he did directly ask his parents for mental health help, and he wasn’t exhibiting psychosis at the time, then I think that proves them beyond guilty of negligence. However, if he DID manage to do a superb job of hiding his mental break not only from his parents, but also from his relatives at Thanksgiving, and his school professionals, then I don’t think his parents can be blamed. I wonder if, even after assuming Ethan’s texts were jokes he was pulling that he was seeing demons and having other hallucinations while the parents were gone, at least the Mom immediately checked in with him in person to ask him if he was telling the truth. I have a feeling that she didn’t.
