I just wanted to say thank you. I am a Protestant and have been homeschooling my kids for the last 2 years. We were running out of solid devotions. Then I found this podcast. Kids are listening and being taught the bible by someone who engages them. They may see the Catholic argument and make other choices. God leads.

I've been a fan of Father Mike for several years, and this isn't the first time that I've felt something cut straight through all the garbage in my life to pierce my heart, but dang. I feel this. Amen!God Rules-The Bible tells us God created Everything, including You and me, and He is in charge of Everything. (Genesis 1:1; Revelation 4:11; Colossians 1:16-17) We sinned-We all choose to disobey God. The Bible calls this sin. Sin separates us from God and deserves God’s punishment of death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23) God provided-God sent Jesus, the Perfect solution to our sin problem, to rescue us from the punishment we deserve. It’s something we, as sinners, could never earn on our own. Jesus alone saves us. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus gives-Jesus lived a Perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Because Jesus gave up His life for us, we can be welcomed into God’s family for Eternity. This is the Best 🎁 Gift Ever! (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18) We can respond to Jesus. A - Admit -- Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin. B - Believe -- Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin. C - Confess -- Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

I've learned a lesson in this video. I am one who tends to "fix" others by offering unsolicited advice because I assume that someone is "broken". But in Job's case, good friends don't try to fix you; good friends listen and share in your pain and offer you comfort. Its a big difference that hits hard.

Father this is my second time around. I am so thankful for you and BIY and CIY. The way you explain scripture and relate it to our lives is so comforting, awesome, and relevant. It makes Job, Abraham, and others feel like they went through the same things we go through today. It is like finding a quiet, refreshing place in this crazy world. The reading of Job could not have come at a better time for me as I lost a dear friend to cancer, it came to me through all my suffering, that I must trust in GOD, not only during the good times but at the most trying times of our lives! God I trust in you!

I have been travelling so and also play when I do my walks morning or evening. I find them easy to listen to. I’m not a Catholic but I love the Word of God. It is our sword in the spiritual battle.

Very profound, When we take measures in our own hand nothing good comes of it. Always surrender to the Lord, We need God to be with us in my confusion, sometimes who love us the most understand the least. We always need not have answers just be present in their time of grief. Thank you Father!

The change from Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah being in the Covenant with God teaches us a lot. We need to submit ourselves to God and not try to control things beyond our control. The theme relates to Job's part of the story and the Proverbs. The people who love us the most, know us the least and sometimes people in our lives don't want an answer but just our presence. These two are some important learnings from Job & friends. Thank you, Fr. Mike and Team Ascension! I'm praying for you. God bless you!

I'm not sure there's a need to catch up. The beauty of this format is you can start anytime. It's mid November as I'm starting this. I miss some days. Some days get split in two, but either way the lessons await me. Looking forward to this year!

Jesus is the answer to the mystery of suffering/evil. His answer is: "I am here with you. I suffer with you. The Father did not spare me either, but He will raise you and glorify you, as He did me, if you will trust Him as I trust Him."
