Day 189 - Today's readings are 2 Kings 23, 2 Chronicles 34, and Proverbs 8:1-21. Today is Sunday July 7th, 2024. Time to go to Mass. I am missing the Latin Mass. Lord God please, please, please help me with the whole conversion of my family, especially my daughter, my son, my son in law, my grandson, my husband. I really, really desire the whole conversion of my entire family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and whoever I encounter in my daily life. I really, really need to be more patient especially with those who do not know God or refused to know God. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

An important reminder is not to follow the world but only God! *All have to pay for the past sins, and also things happen as per God's plans. Thus, despite being faithful, Josiah had to die due to the enemies of Judah uniting as per the plans of the exile. *People do have to follow God regardless of what famous people and the people ruling over them are doing. This is what is shown by the people of Judah - not following God even when Kings follow Him. While some following God when evil kings are not following Him. *Proverbs are awesome because they show that power and money are useless without wisdom and insight. We can lose everything in a minute because of a bad decision due to the lack of wisdom and also by not following God. Thank you so much for your prayers and this work, Fr. Mike! All the sins of humanity, when combined, are merely a drop in the vast ocean of God's infinite mercy. Jesus, we humbly seek your guidance to understand and follow God's Word; please bless us with unwavering faith and a humble and contrite heart on our journey, and never let us stray from Your path. May Your will always be done. The road ahead may be narrow; sometimes, we may be called to walk alone. Prayer for financial blessings. I am working three jobs and still behind in many bills. My cable, phone and internet are about to be shut off. I have to pay car insurance and a car payment because i need my car for work and my old car died in December. Pray for divine intervention.

Lord Jesus, I humbly pray for myself, Father Mike, & all the people participating in the Bible-in-Year podcast. May your word take deep root in our hearts & transform our ways of thinking, discerning, and acting. May your grace open our ears to hear & understand both the Old & the New Testaments that we may revere & treasure the words which God has prepared for all who desire to enter his kingdom. Send us your Holy Spirit to give us the Spirit of Knowledge, that we may know God and know ourselves. Give us the grace to approach the Word of God with meekness & humility, & with an eagerness to do everything God desires. Help us to be diligent students & faithful disciples of your Word. Lord, You are the one true king. May we not become fixated on who is in power, but help us to fix our eyes on you, the author and perfecter of our faith. We know that there are consequences to our sin even if we repent. We trust that even in battle when we are faithful, YOU never leave us. Grant us wisdom so we can clearly see our hope in every circumstance. Help us to most importantly to lead our family and friends in truth. 🙏🏻

Josiah made right the sins of his forefathers, that's so attractive ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰 that really makes him stick out in a manly way as a king usong his jurisdiction, but as a man of God who broke through tradition, social expectations, regional expectations. From a natural perspective thats incredibly attractive, from a spiritual perspective its like water in the desert. I like that alot.❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

WOW.. I actually cried when i read that king Josiah was slain in battle in 2 kings reading. I thought why would God allow such a faithful good man to die? I know when ever i doubt the Lords actions, its 'my missunderstanding of God's mercy'. In 2 chronicles 34 the knings men go to Huldah the prophetess. In verses 26, 27 and 28 she says that" he shall go to his grave in peace and not see the calamity which will come to this place". So God did not want this good king to see His wrath. I know there is more to this story...so lets see tommoro how it unfolds. Blessings to all. 📖💖👍

July 7, 2023 Round Two Please pray for Souls in Purgatory. Go ahead, just take about 30 seconds to help save a soul that maybe is your family member or friend! Go forth and help save! Here is the prayer: (According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory.) The Prayer of St. Gertrude Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. God would reply to St. Gertrude that He would use whatever was offered to Him for the faithful departed, according to His inclination to show pardon & mercy.

I’ve been reflecting on something; it seems history is repeating itself, or perhaps providence. I see the reformation and Protestants as the kingdom of the north and Catholicism/orthodox as the south remaining true to our Lord. Also seems we’re on the precipice of exile in this post Vatican II world.

I did something that I should not have done. I left the church I came back to the church did my confessions on that. I'll be back 14 months I'm enjoying going to mass receiving Holy Communion because Jesus Christ said disciples unless you eat my body drink my blood you have no life . The Holy Communion is Jesus Christ actual body add a wine is Jesus blood that's not symbol

I had a hard time with this one - the Lord tells Josiah because he has essentially as we say been the best king, following all the ways of the Lord, the Lord will bring him home so he doesn’t have to see the fall of the nation…..but he gets taken out in battle that is how he was spared? I must be missing something but that did not feel like justice.

I'm still paying for my consequences. I love the church I came back what's a confession God forgive me I go to mass every holy day I go to Mass I'm a practicing a Catholic. My consequences is because I left the church even though I came back I caused my wife well she doesn't go to church anymore she just stays home sleeps well I'm at Mass if she sees me when I go to Mass and she's my wife sees me when I come home. That's my consequences I feel lonely my wife is not with me when I go to Mass my kids are not with me when I go to Mass I have a daughter that's 16-year-old. Hudson boys I'm always asking my boys do you want to go with that and go to Mass. I've always asked for boys if you don't come with that they don't want to go because they like playing games on the phone that's why my family take me home and it's all my fault if I would have not left the church my family would still be going with me to mess.
