Started the event since I wanted to do a killer game warmup before playing survivor with friends and then i found myself gold 4 because i kept going agane due to the fun. It makes everything way less stressful as killer, and I'm relatively pea-brained about using the invitations. Mostly just remote hook even if I'm on top of one

the insta hook is so powerful and as someone that has only been playing killer its like such a sweet blissful moment

The chest explosion actually came in handy yesterday. I was chasing Haddie, chest exploaded and that made her get a slow vault and get hit

To be honest, unlike the random perk modifier, Im enjoying this type of chaos. Because it is batshit crazy and fun without predetermining one side to losing without a chance from the start just because that is the way it is. But for every single one of you who uses map offerings in the modifier, I hope you are going to step on lego in the morning every time you use it.

A reason why I love Pyramid Head so much! The insta-hook is quite fun, but in a way I'm glad it's not common because it does make the game seem a little one-sided, but for this mode I think it's great. Also, there is a bug I saw on Reddit where someone tried to blind a Killer picking up, but then they were sent immediately to the hook and not the survivor being picked up, so not sure how common that is, but something to be aware of.

I've been only playing killer, and I have yet to lose my first game in this event, playing survivor is just miserable

The ability for killers to TP hook people across the map is absolutely fucking crazy OP, breaking the pallets is also boring but half the killers in the game just get a free hit no matter what at half the pallets anyways.

As survivor I do not like the hook feature where you just teleport them, simply because it denies DS and some other interactions. It also is impossible to wiggle even if they drop you and you are at 100% percent wiggle progress. They can just drop you and go get an invitation. I don’t even know if you can actually pallet stun if the killer just hammers the button to teleport them. There should be like a 1 second delay or something so that way there’s still some leeway for survivors to use their resources like normal in these situations. But it’s always fun to have these game modes otherwise

If you use chemical trap on a pallet and the killer uses the power to break it they will be stunned by it by the way.

Tryks/The Mad Designer is also genuinely terrifying, she’s slaughtering survivors and using them to manifest her art into the realm.

Part of my problem with the event is every server I’m on is giving me the latency warning. Killers are laggy af and as killer, I can feel the delay

Remote hook is annoying but I would rather have that over the exposed effect last year. Killers could expose survivors they were chasing as long as they had bloodlust and an invitation. Was totally worth going a few extra seconds without hitting them for the insta-down.

Remote Hooks have quite the 50/50 interaction if you blind a killer while they're spamming their Q Other than that bug, this game mode is great

Only problem with the remote hook is that it is extremely buggy, and if you spam the key while picking up you will be immune to any pallet/flashlight saves

omg I did not know about the silent mode since rn... it really feels like you described it. Losing survivors that you usually would never lose but somehow they are just gone or hide, making no sounds whatsoever

4:06 this renimded me, I was thinking it'd be fun if Vecna could use Mage Hand to pick up a survivor and put them on a hook from a distance, I haven't seen the event thing you're talking about so idk if they could port it over or if it's different but that could be really funny and flavourful (besides survivors weighing more then 5lbs but so do pallets lol)

Now I wonder why the HillBilly in one of my games yesterday was only downing and not even hooking until we full on destroyed him with gens. I was in a solo queue the dude used slugging build and still lost.

I keep running into killers that hard tunnel off hook. Really puts a damper on the fun event

Remote hooking was a terrible addition. It breaks so many things in the game, and it's a buggy mess on top of that. The only way remote hooking should have been included is if it prioritized the furthest hooks from the killer. At least then, it's not free hook + easy to camp/proxy. Can't even flash save without the bug where you get hooked instantly instead and the person gets perma on the shoulder.

I'd love to play the event but I made the mistake several years ago of starting the game on the microsoft store, and now can't get around error code 4.

The remote hook is wayy too strong if you make a build around it. You press Q to hook them on pain res, but you also activate grim embrace since the hook is more than 16m away, which blocks the gens and also activates dead man's switch which blocks the gens survivors are on for 30 seconds instead of 10... Oh yeah, it can remotely hook on basement hooks too...

My game has been having constant connection issues since the anniversary update, to the point I have packet loss or just get straight up disconnected from the server. It’s not my net as I also know of a lot of other people in my region are having the same problem. Is anyone else getting this issue outside of OCE servers?

for the quiet mode, i wanna note that survivor plague vomiting noises aren't suppressed by it, which is understandable yet interesting! i'd also be surprised if they introduced the instahook mechanic down the road considering they just buffed sabo speeds to encourage more survivor-killer interaction i think, but these events do function as a testing ground so who knows! this event is so fun!! (and here's the obligatory a-lot-of-my-killers-are-sweating-their-asses-off, even though i usually never agree when ppl say that about events, a lot more of my games have unfortunately been kinda insufferable, but i'm still gonna suffer through it cuz the event is cool as hell)

Been having a ton of fun playing the event. My streamers friends have been a tad.... annoying when they complain about the teleporting hook mechanic. I have no problem with it. We can block god windows and just escape the chase. It's broken on both sides so it kinda balances out.

Although I understand the event having a lot going on it should not take you 4 hours to learn the effects, they're explained to you in the menu. If you know how DBD is played then the event adds maybe 15 or 20 minutes of in-game learning.

Surprises me how yousay that using pallet break feels bad when its something that you can play around in some cases, but praise remote hook when it feels ass to play because there is absolutely nothing you can do about it (denies sabo, denies wiggling, even denies pallet stun saves in some ases if the killer spams it)

Can you imagine a 30% slower mode where you're both racing at 2mph to get to a window? That would be hilarious and annoying at the same time

Let's also highlight how absolutely broken the remote hook is. I love this feature even though its much more bs than breaking a pallet. However this remedied by survivors being completely silent so getting saves is encouraged. Which is how you "counter" it. I've played the game mode non stop and it's great on all sides. Only time I've hated it is when I keep getting skull merchants because having fun is too hard for the player base to do.

I feel like remote hooks should take one second to do. You can’t pallet save and flashlight saves are a lot harder. Getting a pallet save while the killer remote hooks also breaks the game, making the survivor unable to move and unkillable in all forms.

My advice is, its an event so dont take it to seriously just try to have fun with the funny abilities.

Instant hook breaks fundamental base game mechanics and doesn’t fit in. You’re cutting yourself 2-3 minutes PER GAME of time off to go hook, instead you just go back instantly into chase. How is that not OP? I’ve been playing nothing but killer for the last two days and getting 3-4Ks each game because again, I have so much extra time now that it’s honestly unfair 😂 But I guess we’re not allowed to talk about that. Anyways I’m not even gonna think about touching survivor till the event is gone, when I can just play killer at its OP state.

Remote hook is so much fun. Not having to worry about wiggle, sabo or hook not being available since a survivor has been sacrificed on it already (wich is a really dumb mechanic) is so much fun I would love to have something like that stay in the game.

the insta-hook is awful for altruistic plays, I've been denied from getting saved from my friend dropping a pallet, and no flashlight save for me when they just teleport to hook from pick up. I wish there was at least like a few second delay
